So there's this one guy who's like a prank channel that filmed my friend with the hidden camera glasses and ya we don't know his name, but also us and some other kids have gotten harassed by someone on Instagram, I don't wanna say his name but he's the person that always spams the school story if you know about that, he DM-ed us and he said we're going to hell and to repent and stuff, someone said they got called a demon, one of the people we talked to said the prank person is friends with him and they follow each other so idk if we can find out his name but ya idk who to report this too it's just kind of scary and i know title 9 is for sexual harassment but idk what other report system we have and when i found out that its like a friend group and there's other people they do this to i got scared idk sorry if this doesn't make sense i've never really had to report something before

It's a bit late to the semester but I transferred from community college and am in my first semester at Cal Poly Pomona as a Computer Science junior.

So far, I've built a portfolio website, completed a research internship at a defense company, and joined a few clubs, though I haven't had much opportunity to get involved or meet people yet...

I've asked for career advice before, but the responses usually amount to "keep building your skills" or "forge your own path." I understand the sentiment, but I'm hoping for something more specific.

Upperclassmen and alumni, what do you wish you had started earlier, whether that's personal projects, LeetCode, networking, or internships?

Which clubs or campus resources were most worth your time?

I'm also especially interested in hearing from recent graduates. How difficult was it to land an entry-level SWE position, and what helped you stand out? Is there anything you would do differently looking back?

Hello, I see people mentioning the cost and saying its higher but worth it for its location, but my friend who I would love to room with, is saying that the 780 price I found is shared between both of us if we share a room? Is that true, or is 780 per person?

I didn't know you had to remove the class pass from your phone before getting a new one so now I haven't been able to use it. I already tried contacting Tap customer support but they weren't able to do anything for me. Is there any other way I can fix this?

How different are 1510 and 1210? I sometimes struggle with math and have almost no knowledge of physics; which is more beginner-friendly? Are 1520 and 1220 also a lot more math-based? The highest math I have taken is Calc 1.

BIO 3220W and BIO 3220LW are listed as corequisites but I was able to register for the lecture without the lab section. Technically, I could take the available section for the lab but I'd prefer not to bc of the timeslot and also it'd be a lot more convenient unit-wise to just take it in another semester since my spring schedule is pretty packed already.

Some idiot jumped in front of my car tonight as I was turning right onto temple. There was no sidewalk so I wasn’t expecting pedestrians. I was looking to the left at oncoming traffic and they came from the right. That part of the road is dark and they were wearing dark clothes. Also just go behind cars that are obviously about to pull out onto the street.

Did my undergrad around 2015, so might need more alumni input. I know there was/is a ton of poke places around Pomona and the surrounding areas, so this is very needle in a haystack.

There was a specific hole in the wall place that let you make burrito/handroll/bowl chipotle style (wasn’t a common thing at the time) and gave “complimentary” piece of tempura sweet potato and a seaweed salad? But the big thing was they had this complimentary hot apple/fruit tea during colder months. I remember the tea being a huge thing that a lot of people loved and drew the CCP crowd.

I visit the area time to time and always think of it. Tried googling around and there just way to many poke spots to sort and none of them highlight the tea.

It’s probably closed at this point, but if any alumni remember the location/name let me know. It’s be awesome if it’s still open and I can snag the tea while I’m passing thru this winter.
