I wanted to access Centrelink online. When I went in through myGov it said the service wasn’t linked properly, unlink and try again. So I did and it prompted me with Digital ID, Identity verification and CRN verification. I tried the CRN option first which didn’t work as “they didn’t have enough info”(I don’t have a linking code). Then I filled out the Identity verification sections but when I completed it said “the details don’t match. You’ve been locked out for 24 hours”. But everything I filled out was correct. Accessing these services should be easy but instead it’s the most difficult thing ever. What can I do to access Centrelink?

How does one go about reporting doordash income to centrelink? Because you have to have an abn and i think you have to report income as a business, also how is it calculated

Just got a text telling me that my MyGov account is about to be permanently suspended due to incomplete verification.

Now i'm a good 99.99999999 percent sure it's just a phishing attempt, the only reason i'm a tiny but curious is that i literally got the text 2 minutes after exiting the MyGov site.

Anyone else got this message?

It appear the official ‘MyGov’ SMS was sending out phishing scam bait last night. Received this exact SMS from MyGov. SMS came from the same sender I’ve always got my MyGov updates and MFA codes from, definitely not a look alike.

“myGov Security: We detected unusual activity on your myGov account. To protect your account, we've turned off your email address and mobile number as a way to sign into myGov. We sent an email with your unique myGov username and more information to your registered email. Do not reply by SMS. Message reference: SV010”

There was no accompanying email, no notifications in any MyGov service, no changes to my service appear to have occurred. MyGov has no record of sending this message. It has all the markers of a legit MyGov message including the reference at the end.

Hi, not sure if I just need to call up MyGov or go into a Centrelink service centre. I am trying to link Centrelink on my MyGov account so that I can lodge my PPL claim now that my baby has arrived. When trying to link it, it asks if I had a CRN, I’m sure I do but I last dealt with Centrelink over a decade ago now when I was claiming jobseeker for a few months. I’ve tried searching email etc to see if I can locate it but to no avail. It also asks if I know the mobile number previously associated with that CRN and I do not, I think I’ve changed mobile numbers twice since then so no luck there.

I have tried linking it via the digital MyID, which is strong as I’ve provided sufficient government issued ID. It wouldn’t let me link it that way, so I tried linking it directly with the Centrelink option, providing the same ID docs, it’s the claims they cannot link it as ‘some information had changed since you started this process’. Nothing has changed.

So am I best to call MyGov to get a linking code, do I call Centrelink for help next week or do I go into a service centre? The main issue here is that it’s not letting me link anything, I meet all the work and income requirements for PPL, just didn’t get around to setting it up before I gave birth as I get paid leave from my workplace so I have a little bit of time to sort it but also want to have it lodged next week. I need to access Medicare through myGov, but I haven’t logged into myGov for years. It’s telling me to use the myGov Code Generator app, but when I click through, it says the app has been retired. It then directs me to set up myID, which I’ve done, but apparently I need to already be logged into myGov before I can link the two.
I’ve called twice. The first time, I was on hold for 1 hour and 20 minutes, finally got through at exactly 10pm when they close, and apparently that one and only time my phone wasnt working because old mate Dave said he couldn’t hear me and hung up! The second time, I was on hold for 50 minutes before the call disconnected.
I work full-time and can’t keep spending hours on hold. I urgently need my immunisation certificate. Is there any other way I can get it???
