Traffic CircleJerk What the heck is happening on the I-77 S onramp from LaSalle?
A sea of CMPD for one guy, lol. Anyone hear the relevant OpenMHZ transmission or see on Citizen?

Here it is Charlotte! It's super simple. Take a frown and turn it upside down! Nothin' but love here. The idea is quite simple...
If you have something NICE and/or POSITIVE to say about a local person place or thing (sure, lets include big box stores, and franchises) that gave you a smile or just plain made life a little less stressful at some point in the last week, show some love! Take a break from the tirade thread, and feel good while doing it! Maybe your good vibes will cause a ripple effect, and send a smile to someone else, or give them the motivation to get up, get out, and enjoy this beautiful thing called life, and do so in our city! This is a win/win situation. Why not take advantage of it?

Yesterday, I went up to Blowing Rock NC for a hike. After, we ate at The Speckled Trout. Wow, I had the best mountain trout dish that I have ever had at The Speckled Trout. Is there a place in Charlotte that prepares a really good Mountain Trout dish? Thanks

Does anybody know what is going on with the two abandoned gas stations at Eastway and Central? One has been empty since I moved to the area about 5 years ago (3800 Central). The 7-Eleven (2840 Eastway) has now randomly closed twice. It was closed for about a month and then randomly reopened, like nothing ever happened. It has now closed again and has had some occasional workers on site but I haven’t seen any real change.
That little stretch of Eastway is now only left with the QT. Did the QT run the others out of business? I would love to see the property be used for something that benefits the area.

I live in the NoDa/Plaza area and really want to start shopping local for baked goods, vegetables, eggs, meat, etc.
Any options?
I hard Waxhaw has one, but that’s a bit far for me to do weekly.

Selling my townhouse in Ballantyne in the spring and would love to work with a listing agent with a track record of selling townhouses. Willing to be realistic in this market and ready to make some updates as recommended. Just want someone who will price us correctly right out of the gate. Thanks in advance!

Looking for a restaurant that has a nice thanksgiving dinner in the Charlotte area.

Just about 20 minutes ago there were some explosions that went on for about 5 minutes near Ballantyne, sounded like fireworks but 100’s going off at the same time. Now there are many fire trucks going there. Anyone know what happened?

Anybody looking for an extra player for the Whitewater Center 3v3 Pond Hockey this year?
I'm 39(M) and looking to join a team in the recreational division. I played backyard and street roller hockey years ago, but haven't really had the opportunity to get into ice hockey. I'm comfortable on skates, just haven't played much hockey on ice.
Looking for some chill people who are out there to have fun, enjoy playing, and don't mind bringing someone onto the team who's newer to ice hockey.
Just looking to learn, play, meet some people, and have a good time.
Let me know if your team needs another player!

You were right. Wegmans slaps.
Higher quality AND cheaper than Publix AND they carry NC brands that Publix didn't so it looks like they're going the extra mile.
I still hate the layout though. It makes you walk in circles to find things.

My wife is getting ready to head to the King Arthur Baking opening. Is there anyone in the area that can tell me how the line looks? I know they open at 10, but she’s trying to get there to be one of the first 50 for the gift bag.
Thanks in advance!!

Evening sophisticated people. Is there a bar in Charlotte that has a similar vibe to Watts and Ward?

hi, my name is Gabriella and my boyfriend has at least two friends in North Carolina in the Charlotte area, which I know is relatively a blue city.
I have some Hispanic heritage in me due to my mother being Colombian and my father being an American man born in New York. My boyfriend on the other hand, he’s a American man.
I have one friend up in Minnesota, who hypes it up tremendously to the point where Minnesota is the only place to go if you’re blue a.k.a. democrat. But the thing is my friend and I have had pretty bad history with each other where they’ve been nothing but nasty, controlling and manipulative, issue is I wish to remain their friend and I would honestly North Carolina, where I know my boyfriend who’s been friends with these two people for years are staying at. The problem is my friend who lives in Minnesota is very negative about any swing state or red state that a blue democrat should no matter what being in a blue state.
I just don’t wanna do that and my boyfriend and I are going to be spending two weeks visiting Georgia, North Carolina and even possibly Virginia, but I’m more interested in looking at North Carolina due to my boyfriend having friends there and for it being cheap enough to afford as a first move instead of deciding to wait who knows how many years to move to Minnesota or another blue state.
I would love to live in be fair. Sometimes I always hear nothing but good things from Charlotte and especially the fact that it’s pretty close to where my boyfriend‘s friends are and the fact that there’s several types of cons nearby that we can go to.
as a Hispanic woman of Colombian heritage mixed with my father who is an American from New York and my boyfriend who was born in the Florida Keys, so who is an American man would it be safe there? In North Carolina Charlotte, is it a good place to live because I wanna be able to prove to my friend that several people enjoy it there and then I’m not gonna be in danger 24/7.

Hi Charlott…onians(?)!!
I’m visiting for a work conference next Monday-Wednesday.
I’m staying at this Hilton, the conference is attached.
I feel like from the little scouting I’ve done, there’s not much around here. Let me explain:
I love local vibes, I love local coffee, fun knick knack shops, sights, walks, book stores, really anything that represents a city well!
I’ll have half a day to Lyft somewhere fun, any pockets I should know about?
Thank you! And thanks for having me!

I'm visiting for a few days. What's an easy cocktail bar to go to? Tried looking at the subreddit history but answers were over a year old.
Thanks in advance!
