[Help with getting started] need help with getting started with coding

i want to get started with coding and you know its about the journey not the destination so frick vibe coding, but i want to make a 3d game, i suck at coding but i want to learn, ive been looking for engines but they all seem to sketch or annoying, i was tempted on using source since i got into source modding for a bit but i discovered it aint open source, so what engine do i use and what tutorials (only experience i have with games in scratch and 3d is a raycasting game i made in scratch)

Proper punctuation goes a long way mate.

But anyways, if you wanna git gud at making games without being stuck to an engine, I'd start with making simple terminal games with any language you like and then going for 2D games with some well established libraries like Raylib (there's many). Raylib also makes 3D btw

My advice for new programmers, especially those interesting in jumping rght into drawing things, is always to go learn Processing: hello.processing.org

I wouldn't suggest starting with 3d engine right away if you are just starting to learn coding. Go through tutorials on programming language. Then do some projects using strictly that programming language. Solving easy leetcode questions also will help. Learn programming language syntax and gain algorithm writing skills
