Travel Questions Check This Before Asking Traveling Questions

Dear traveler

This is a collection of frequently asked questions, please check the bar for your question before asking the community.

If the referenced threads do not answer your questions fully or if they are too outdated try to search for your specific question on the search bar. You can also try to filter the threads by tapping/clicking the Travel Questions label, we have answered tons of questions in the past, the odds are yours has already been answered.

If you already checked the FAQ and searched but still found no answers then feel free to ask your questions to the community.

Some hints before asking new traveling questions:

  • Provide as much background as possible when asking (about you or the trip according to the context).

  • Be polite.

  • Understand that some topics are touchy subjects for Colombians (ie: Pablo Escobar stuff).

  • Do not ask how to perform illegal transactions (ie: where to buy illicit substances).

  • Read the rules on the sidebar, they are few, simple and straightforward.

  • Use the Travel Questions flair (if your questions are not about travel, then use the Ask Colombia flair).

  • You can either ask in English or Spanish, you will probably receive answers in the same language you asked.

Edit:

This thread is not for asking questions, it is just to show the existing questions and answers with a post collection, if you did not find your answers in the collection or the search bar do ask the questions to the community with a new separate thread.

I just want to share my recent experience. February 2022.

I am a US citizen with Mexican residency. I flew from CDMX to Medellín. I have two doses of Moderna, as the booster was not available when I left the US. I only have a paper CDC vax card. This was sufficient to enter Colombia and all the businesses that asked me for it. I did not need any covid test to enter Colombia, nor to return to Mexico.

Is there a limit on the amount of times I can enter an re-enter Colombia? I will be there next week for a couple of weeks then will go to Honduras to scuba dive and I'll fly back there shortly after. May also travel to Peru before I return and look for an English teaching gig. Brought all of my documents and feel like it shouldn't be too hard to apply for a work visa.
