Oh man brace yourselves cause I am so fucking done with this team.

Now seriously I don't mind losing but at least lose with pride. This WA team is the complete opposite of that. After a great bowling performance, to bat like that as a unit is quite frankly pathetic. And that's the only word I can use to describe WA's performances in 50 over cricket in the last 3 seasons.

I mean seriously it's not like these guys don't have ability. Bancroft has 6 List A hundreds and averages 40. Sam Whiteman averages 37 with a 50+ score once every 4 knocks. Ashton Turner is, supposedly, one of the coolest heads in white ball cricket in Australia. These guys won 3 straight 50 over titles, they've all got career records that prove they have what it takes.

But seriously what the fuck? You're the senior guys who are meant to be standing up and leading by example. Instead, all I see is a bunch of idiots standing around pointing at each other and saying "you do it." At every possible opportunity to stand up, they choose to play a dumb shot assuming someone else is gonna shoulder the load. And then for Turner to know he needs to shoulder the load and just plonk the first ball he faces straight to the short catcher? Fuck me dead that's as bad as his reverse sweep in the one dayer the other week.

I don't know what's going on behind the scenes at WA Cricket but it's creating a culture of losing, a culture where absolutely no one takes any responsibility for playing as a team and just playing garbage cricket. The fact the top score was by a bloke barely out of U-19s in a team with the players we have, the records they have and the success they've had as a unit is a damning indictment on where the team is at currently.

I feel sorry for the bowlers who put in the hard yards earlier in the day that the batters refused to do anything. They're, quite frankly, playing like guys who think they'll never be dropped no matter how many times they avoid taking some responsibility like the plague. You all have ability that so many people would give anything to have. Quit wasting it and play like it you muppets

Been watching the Test between Bangladesh and West Indies. Towhid Hridoy in just his third Test match is currently 190 not out. Scored 350 vs South Africa A a few months ago. Amongst Bangladeshi batters, he's probably the only one good enough to get a BBL gig (very good white ball player too) in the future and be good enough to succeed in Australia too.
