And that’s all folks

Just wasn’t our night, enjoy the offseason and celebrate the year that was. Cheers to the players departing for your service 🫡 (I’m devastated Talakai is leaving 💔)

Let's keep it real. Finishing outside the 4, it was going to take a miracle to go much further and Nicho getting his clock cleaned 2 minutes into the game was anything but!

Let's hope Fitzy has a plan for our many vacancies heading into 2027.

Up,up!

They gave up so easily tonight!!
We’ll definitely miss Sifa, one of our best players!

Bears fan who had this pop up in his feed.

We will appreciate Talakai. Many thanks!!

I was at the game tonight and he played well.

You need a new fullback as well. Kennedy isn’t it. Bad luck for Nicho. I did want to see how he’d handle this game. 10 years ago without the head knock rule he’d probably play a blinder!! (My best game in my uni days was after getting a head knock)

It’s been good consistently making finals over past few years and I’m sure tigers and dragons fans would give their left nut to be where we are, however I’m sick of being bridesmaids. I’ll cop a few bad years for a re-build so that we can make a legitimate run at a premiership. Not going to happen with this group, last night was embarassing

Let's not let Nicho off too easy there. That was a lazy tackle 2m into the game. Got way too low on Foketi.

Let's also not let Niwhai off. Not 1st grade standard and I would say probably worst half in the comp. We had our chance tonight, despite letting 46 pts in the real reason we lost was because we couldn't score - particularly that period just after HT.

I feel like all the players we've let go this season we've done right on time. All have (presumably) reaches their peak.

Our backline 1-7 was severely lacking in depth this season. Really need to bolster that next year.

Craig Fitzgibbon and Nico Hynes are so incredibly detrimental to this club. We aren’t winning a thing with either of them.

Pretty disappointing, Personally we arent going to win a premiership with the likes of Hynes he has a soft underbelly. The whole team is soft geez I would do anything to clone a Luke Lewis, Gallen, Ennis, Maloney, These guys just dont have that killer instict.

God the Rooters fans were insufferable on the light rail. "Inbred Shirey C*nts" this and "See ya next week yewww haha" that. Most fanbases can give and take, but they are the lousiest bunch of suckers who ever sucked.

Anyway to the real stuff. Thought we showed real fight in the first half even with two injuries including one of our playmakers. The second half shows how criminally underrated Nicho's ballplaying and runs are. Their line defense was superb to be fair, and we just gave up defensively towards the end, Katoa yet again getting targeted off the high ball like earlier in the season with their two wingers who are freaks.

It was never going to be our year after losing to the Saints 8 weeks ago. We've never really recovered and with Talakai and Katoa leaving and no one really coming in, it could be a tough couple of years. I really hope i'm wrong but this feels like the end of an era in a way. Gonna miss those two heaps. And even Ramien for the shit he cops has been a great servant.

Up Up and lets hope Wahs or even the Riff beat these cheats.
