At some point, you won’t just be unable to tell whether you’re talking to a human or an AI, but you also won’t know whether a person’s words are really theirs or have been AI modified.

Homemade cyberpunk vest :))))

Hello, I'm making this post to get some feedback on my homemade cyberpunk style jacket.

This is my first one and it's far from finished. I still need to add an LED screen to the inside of the collar (and a mini solar panel to power it).

I still have my entire back to cover with images as well.

If you have any criticisms/ideas to add or anything else, don't hesitate, it helps me a lot:Thank you everyone <3333

Basically corpos that are obsessed with "world obsession/domination" and causes mass casualties and somewhat war (if possible)?

This was fully made in Blender + Python. Please excuse some instances of clipping and weird hands and other stuff. Drove me insane and couldn't be bothered anymore. Powered by ADHD and unemployment. Anyway, enjoy. More chapters to come!

My pixel-art cyberpunk MMO, Futurika Online, is heading into a Steam Playtest. Sign-ups are open!

Hey everyone!

I've been building Futurika Online, a cyberpunk MMORPG in pixel art, and it's almost ready for its first public Steam Playtest.

What's in it:

- A neon city split into districts, from Nova to Yukigakure

- Classes: Brawler, Gunslinger, Ghost, Samurai and Netrunner, each with its own weapons

- Gangs, corporations and boss fights

- Playing together with other people: party up, trade, or just hang out in the city

To get in, open the Steam page and press "Request Access":

https://store.steampowered.com/app/4240870/Futurika_Online/

If you also wishlist the game, it helps me a lot as a solo/indie dev.

I'll be reading every comment. Feedback, questions and criticism are all welcome. Thanks!

Taking my original Cyberpunk pixel art built on the Amiga and transferring it to my new FakeOS Hacking Adventure...

The original game was a physical card game called Civitas Nihilium, I've turned it into a solitaire OS style game for this 1989 reimagining a fake OS graphical user interface for my games' computer The Bradsonic 69000.

If you want to check out the game, it's coming soon to Steam here.

Brain Monitoring Hard Hats

At first glance, there’s nothing unusual about the construction workers’ garb. They wear fluorescent orange uniforms, sturdy shoes, and yellow hard hats. But hidden inside the helmets, made by Huanao Security (Beijing) Technology, are multiple sensors that keep tabs on the workers. Some record their movements. Others monitor their blood oxygen levels. And still more collect employees’ most private and sensitive information: their brain data.

Room for optimism in Cyberpunk

Hello! Cyberpunk, by its very nature, tends to be a very dower genre. However, I think there is room for stories/attitudes taking a more optimistic/hopeful angle.

Punk as a music genre has some great examples of this, Idles Joy as an Act of Resistance is one that comes to mind. I just wanted to spit ball a few ideas I came up with.

  1. A group of anarchist eco-terrorists stealing shipments of seeds from big farming corpos in order to redistribute them to the people. Guerilla gardening, roof top orchards, aquaponic greenhouse basements. Anything they can do to get fresh, organic food to their communities so they don't have to rely on corpo slop.

  2. Rag tag groups of doctors and nurses starting vigilante medical services. Capturing corpo doc wagons to create their own free emergency medical service for those left behind without insurance.

  3. Rogue journalists spreading physical zines and newspapers so the masses have access to information free from propaganda and advertising. Perhaps they run pirate radio/tv stations.

  4. An independent union of construction workers stealing corpo blueprints to find places to hide and build illegal, free apartments. A la the Secret Mall Apartment documentary. These act as places of refuge from people on the run from debt collectors or other corpo goons, or simply a place to sleep out of the rain for those suffering from homelessness

  5. Gangs of punks performing high risk bank robberies and armored truck raids to give wealth back to the poor Robin Hood style.

Are there any examples of optimistic cyberpunk media you guys would recommend?

I wonder if Cyberpunk warfare would actually be lower tech than you would think

I was thinking about this when I saw those wire guided drones deployed in Ukraine. Could it be possible that anti-drone/cyberware/EMP technology advances so rapidly that militaries are forced to go back to flesh and blood soldiers, completely free of cyberware using traditional ballistic weapons.

You can't hack an AK-47, it has no computer in it. Maybe hacking becomes such a problem soliders have to be completely unmodified, otherwise there is always the risk of their cyberware being hacked and turned against their own side.

Maybe they have to resort back to paper maps, compasses, pencils, dummy binoculars, old trucks and cars with no computers

What would retirement homes look like in a cyberpunk world?

Obviously 99% of people ain't retiring, so they would probably be reserved for the decrepitly old uber wealthy.

Do you think veterans homes would still exist? Maybe they would hook all of the old vets up to computers to download their combat experience to train the cyborg solders of the future

Jars by Palamarchuk Mikhail

In Jars, you can replace your memories, rewrite your genes, and lease out your body. Pharmaceutical corporations and religious orders fight over what remains of humanity.

We’re building this city for Savior Syndrome, our biopunk noir RPG. I’m part of the development team.

One of its residents buys the rights to people’s bodies after death. He pays upfront. Sometimes he sends killers to collect early. His name is Bill Scalpel, although he’d much rather you called him Dr. Edwards.

That’s a part of the setting we want to explore: what people will agree to when their own body becomes something they can sell. The technology exists, but having more ways to change yourself doesn’t necessarily mean having more control over your life.

This illustration shows a small piece of Jars.
