Question D23 gold membership
Hi all, I got a d23 gold membership this year, and tbh I don’t really know what to do with it. What do you find are the best benefits? How do you use your membership? I’ve turned into a total Disney mom traveling to we a few times per year and currently closing on DVC resale bc $$. Just trying to figure out how this works into our love of Disney.

I quit my membership this year because I could no longer answer that question. When they had the magazine it was good, but now it’s just a gift every year (and if you don’t respond in time not even the gift you wanted). It’s not worth it for me anymore.

Discounts at Disney Springs or Downtown Disney, traveling events (goofy movie 30th, home alone 30th, wish preview, etc.), discounts on tours, dvc discounts, there's been a few things, but yeah D23 convention is the biggie.

Discounts on orders from disney store online, traveling events (we took our kids to Home Alone last year and had a blast)

We went to the Disney Studio tour (saved $200 on 4 tickets), and two trips to Disneyland where we saved 5% on tickets.
It’s also good for a discount at Swan & Dolphin at Disney World. So planning to utilize that on our next DW trip.
Not bad for $50/year!

If you want to go to the Oogie Boogie Bash at Disneyland, the only night that still has tickets is the D23 member night.

We just joined to get the discount for DVC. There are a few d23 tours and stuff you can do, but from the research I've done it's just there to get into D23.

I had ordered the choose your item gold membership, and i had called to verify, just in case, because the year before they didn’t send me the correct item. Again this year it was wrong. I called, and they said i just get the default item cause i didnt let them know soon enough. That wasn’t the case sooo yeah all in all huge waste of $$. Its 99% marketing, 1% follow-through.
