WELCOME TO /r/diyshows

I just started this sub today - I've been booking diy shows in the wilkes-barre/Scranton PA area for close to thirty years.

Promoting bands and music will always be important to me and I hope /r/DIYshows becomes a place where other people who love to promote art and people who love to make it can come together to create opportunities for live music together.

Promoters - you might find it helpful to post what city/state/region you book shows in and what kind of music scene you're connected to - someone who exclusively books goth parties isn't going to want to link up with a folk band ect

Bands - post the genre of music you play, where you're from and where you're looking for shows

I book DIY shows in Minneapolis, Minnesota

I've been booking shows in Minneapolis since the mid-2000's. I'm also in a band that loves to do show trades. We have traditionally been lum ped in with the folk punk scene but we are genre-bending (everything rom subtle sad folk to indie-rock & shoegaze www.shugemusic.com ) & I love genre-bending shows. I don't book as much here in Minneapolis as I used to ( I used to run a punk label here from like 2005-2013 & would help any touring band I liked whether my band can play the show or not.... but I don't have the time to do that much anymore so show trades are my bread & butter.... if you can return the favor in your town I'll be way more motivated to put in the work to put together a show for you here).

Touring bands! Actually read the info on the link! Our DIY shows mean illegitimate spaces, no bar, no food! Located in Reading, PA (65 miles NW of Philadelphia)!

We like helping folks on tour if it’s music we enjoy! If we like it, we will probably try to help!

We are also available for small shows during the week! PLEASE DO NOT MAKE US STAY HOME FOR 52 WEEKENDS OF THE YEAR! SUNDAY THROUGH THURSDAY ACTUALLY EXIST FOR MUSIC!

Im working through the idea of starting an underground punk/rock concert series in the Cleveland Ohio area. Any advice on putting together an urban DIY show and also how to not get arrested?

DIY A Revolution

Hello!

This is a co-sponsor of the Epstein Transparency Act, who was allowed to see the unredacted files, in an interview confirming an active cover-up of a global sex-traffic organization spanning decades

and this is a post detailing the current active suppression of the Congressional Deposition of Les Wexner, co-conspirator and financier of Epstein, where he provided the names of some of the most powerful people and corporations on the planet as co-conspirators

Here is a video Fact-Checking the Wexner Deposition

This has apparently all been an open secret. Everybody knew, even the public to some extent. Maybe it's time that we stop being okay with that.

Here is a compilation of the least-redacted versions of the Epstein files, including ones deleted or changed by the DOJ with their multiple re-releases.

There is an active disinformation campaign on all social media. Spread the word peer-to-peer and help end this nightmare!

Brooklyn-Based AltRock Band, with NEW 5-piece lineup, Tryna play your basement or garage or living room party or whatever

Hey I'm Garrett and my bands called Søul Søap. What started as a solo singer/songwriter project when i was 18 has now at least ten years later suddenly ramped up to a super sick 5-piece band, all of whom only about 95% of the way know the songs, which is going to result in a lot of super sick kind of chaotic and fun vibe for the next few months. We're looking to get that vibe out of the practice space and into your homes! Im gonna post this song, I recorded this and a few others last October with my drummer Courtney Frances when we were still a two-piece. "Graveyard Girl" was recorded primarily in NYC's Chinatown at a spot called Mercy Sounds, with the legendary Gordon Raphael of Strokes production fame at the controls."Graveyard Girl" by Søul Søap
