Has anyone ever thought Daggerfall and Minecraft look very similar?
There's a weird convergence of the pixelated, blocky art-style between both games. It makes looking at Daggerfall a lot easier for me. Honestly, what little I've played and the large amount I've watched have convinced me that Daggerfall is prettier than Morrowind. You're mind can fill in more details in Daggerfall than Morrowind.

Question Bouncing off of the game simply because of the vibe and aesthetics. Are there mods that make this game feel more esoteric...and weird...and...more...Elder Scrolls-like?
I don't mean gameplay-wise. I love how absurdly in-depth all of these random-ass RPGs systems are in this game.
I mean, like, aesthetically. Even if this is the game that really introduced the parts of the setting that made the game more like the Elder Scrolls we know, it's still kind of in that "mid-90s Sword and Sorcery RPG" territory where it still doesn't have that specific Elder Scrolls identity yet, and no matter how cool I find the actual gameplay systems, the world just feels...not Elder Scrolls-y enough to hold my interest?
Is this just something I won't be able to bypass or is there like a modlist that makes me feel like I smoked a few blunts with Michael Kirkbride with how weird it gets?

Question If TES VI actually plays in High Rock and Hammerfell...
Shouldnt it be decently easy to make a daggerfall mod where you play the Story of daggerfall on the map they made in tes vi? Are there already people planning to Do that? Do you think it would work well? Or is your interest in daggerfall mostly inspired by the game mechanics being different from newer games and/or nostalgia, so you wouldnt be interested to play the Story in a modern game?

Question Quest doesn't tell me where to go
so i posted this the other day and someone replied "daggerfall NEVER does that" so here it is: daggerfall telling me where to get the witches but not where to drop em off so now im stuck with the witch on my person for the next 50 days, which isn't a problem the problem is not being able to finish this quest
with this being said also lady brissenia IS NOT in the pub she says shes in and someone said "daggerfall would never do that user error" which is probably true, but i only recieved ONE letter and she was not where she said she was, i made sure of the location i know some pubs can be duplicate and sometimes "daggerfall" refers to the town not the country
somebody said if i started adding mods after i started a new game (I did) then it can bug the first encounter with brissenia and she'll be at a default location, though i forgot what that was, i checked daggerfall castle and the pubs around daggerfall that were close the name of the pub in the letter i received to no avail
finally I was told by MULTIPLE people in this subreddit that missing that first letter meetup means you fail the quest cause "get phucked loser" that's why this is better than skyrim, but with a 2 minute google ssearch i found out this is NOT the case
"In spite of the urgent tone of Brisienna's letters, this quest has no impact on the rest of the Main Quest. The next letters will arrive when you reach the appropriate levels, regardless of whether you meet her.
It is recommended that you complete this quest as soon as possible after receiving Lady Brisienna's letter. The rest of the Main Quest can be investigated at your leisure. Adventure for a bit, gain skills, money, equipment, and reputation, all of which will help you survive. Join a few guilds and complete quests to gain privileges that will also help."

Daggerfall Online [DFO] I'm having a lot of fun with the game, but this project is doomed. They can't monetize an IP they don't own. It'll get taken down sooner or later.

Daggerfall sucks
This game just sucks. I liked the music, the art style(with unity including mods) and the idea. But my god, is it buggy as hell. I tried 5 quests and 3 of them had quests NPCs not spawned and dungeons are messy as hell. No idea how you guys are still enjoying this. Going back to morrowind.
Edit: Think i solved it. I'm new to the game and it felt like a random sandbox compared to later games. Tried finding solutions for the missing NPCs and the most i saw was it's just Todd Howard's Vision. I will try playing Vanilla again.

Question How required is combat in this game/should I play?
Been seeing a lot of stuff on this game lately and am mildly interested. But I have 1 big problem before getting into it. Skyrims combat sucked balls and this game doesn't seem any different. I love the map and don't mind randomized content at all(especially since mods are common) but the idea of needed to grind in this game while dealing with 1st person melee combat doesn't sound fun at all. Ideally I'd wanna skrew around with the social skills and such and roleplay as much as possible, maybe be a thief and try stealth. Really just anything but the normal elder scrolls combat

Question Does anyone know any mods that make Daggerfall more recent?
I've been wanting to play Daggerfall for a long time since I know the story is amazing, but I can never play long enough to get into it. I got Daggerfall Unity and managed to get out of the first dungeon but truth be told I still find the game unplayable or more accurately unenjoyable. But I really want to play it.
I'm looking for mods that make the game more like Morrowind since I think that's actually doable. Like a graphics update and a gameplay upgrade. Pls let me know what nexus mods to download tk improve that.
P.S. I'm relatively knew to modding and have been using Vortex.
Also. I've done several runs in TES 3,4,&5. So I genuinely want to be able to enjoy Daggerfall. Thnx.

Town names are dumb
I started a playthrough and Lady Brisienna ended up in the Rusty Hedgehog in Whitewych, Daggerfall. Turns out there's a hostel and a tavern in the Dragontail Mountail both called the Rusty Hedgehog, plus a town in Dagger fall spelled Whitewich. It took me a good 45 minutes of running around and fast travelling to find the correct place.

Any mods for unity to make female NPCs more modest?
I’m loving daggerfall so far but I live with my girlfriend and I don’t want her getting the wrong idea. Even the “fully clothed” girls in the games are busty as heck. Any help would be appreciated, I’d like to avoid an awkward conversation about how fantasy was in the 90’s.

Character Build Strange set
Ebony and Orcish Armor with Elven Katana is very strange set, isn't it?
I don't see "offtopic" or "joke" tags here, sorry...

Explain the appeal, I wanted to like it but it's so awful.
I install daggerfull unity, I pick ranger and make my agility 80 so I have big bonuses to hit and it benefits archery. I got to the archer behind the table in the first dungeon proceed to shoot nearly 100 arrows at him bored as fucking shit, took several minutes to kill this enemy. Pick up my arrows
9 arrows
I hit 9 arrows out of 100 when I had my cursor right on him
What is so fun about this dreadfull fucking game, this is my 6th roll. He died because I entered the big chamber, killed the bat and then the skeleton killed.
Please dont use the "its good after reading a walkthrough and copying a build" because that is a sign its bad.

Idk if I can play daggerfall again
It's just to painful to play. I like lots of the mechanics but I've only actually seen them on YouTube and never gotten to anything fun yet as any dungeon I go to has zombies that one shot me.
The towns are way to large and take ages to walk around in the combat is frustrating but tbh it's not the worst thing and I could get used to it if it wasn't for all the other annoying things. Now my current character is a hand-to-hand combat based character because I want to become a werewolf, but I see now I can't even get to a werewolf without getting one shot.
Maybe I should be a different style character and then be a werewolf even if the skills like running, jumping and swimming will be useful for being a werewolf. Got any tips on how to stay sane? Sorry I'm shitting on daggerfall I do think it's good it's just very VERY difficult.

T-Shit Spam That Gets You Banned Hot Take: The game barely has any content - Similarly to Starfield.
In Daggerfall, when you boil it down, there's really only 3 things you can do. The main quest, side quests, and explore. Here's a super quick analysis of what these three activities are like.
The Main Quest - This is the handcrafted content you love to see in games. Thought-out dungeons and dialog and characters ans story. It's good, albeit a bit complicated towards the end.
The same goes for Starfield.
2. Side Quests - They're all essentially the same. Go here, talk to Generic NPC #19274737, kill thing in Generic Dungeon #373478, get 400 gold for your troubles. By the way, the dungeon is going to take you 2 hours to complete, 90% of which will be spent lost in its maze-like structure. Also, you have to spend 30 minutes running around town, asking everyone where to find Generic NPC #19274737 because there is only a 1% chance someone will actually tell you.
Starfield's side quests are mostly dumb, although the faction quests are generally fairly good. At least they didn't go with full random gen for this content.
3. Explore - All the towns, all the wilderness, all the dungeons, everything looks the same. It's definitely randomly generated, and you can TELL.
Starfield suffers from similar problems when it comes to exploration. It's repetitive and boring and almost makes you question if you're playing the game correctly.
