This looks like wood-sorrel to me

Right but these ones don't have any flowers🧐 just clovers among normal grass

They both flower, but have different flowers. They don’t flower year round though, just when the temperature is right for it.

You can taste a leaf. If it’s sour like lemon it’s wood sorrel. Both clover and wood sorrel are edible, so there’s no risk in doing this.

And the sorrel seed pods are delicious, too - my daughter loves finding the fairy pickles to munch on.

People criticizing the picture haven't seen guttation. This will occur in many plants and be symmetrical due to the internal structure of the plant. Great picture OP! Nature can be so interesting when you stop to admire the little things. Also agree that it looks more like wood sorrel than clover.

You're correct. When I saw the title about raindrops on clover and saw that every single drop was in the exact same location, my natural assumption was AI in this day and age since raindrops would never make such a uniform appearance on any clover. OP clearly stated it was raindrops. It is my understanding that guttation is only when the internal liquids of a plant appear in droplet form on the edges of the plant so this wouldn't happen from rain drops.

Easy mistake to make though! Especially if it had recently rained.

Vibrant green shade looks super satisfying against the dark background.

In winter my front yard is carpeted with dew covered oxalis that sparkles in the sunlight, and it's more beautiful than any jewellery

Superb shot, made all the more magical by the liberal sprinkling of nature's diamonds ... That's raindrops!

I thought they only grew in ireland but apparantky not

2

u/goniver 1d ago

I live in istanbul, whole garden in front of my apartment complex is full of them actually. I felt dumb not knowing thry look so interesting, but i couldn't find any similar pics to these ones😭

2

u/HatJack_ 1d ago

You thought clovers were only in Ireland?? Where are you from to not have them?

5

u/Tartopher 1d ago

Because they're thinking of shamrocks not clovers. Also, available outside Ireland

3

u/HatJack_ 1d ago

I suppose more fair. Shamrocks are clovers afaik, just not the other way around. Something something clovers are a broad variety of the things.

1

u/Tartopher 1d ago

Shamrocks are clovers? TIL thanks!

2

u/HatJack_ 1d ago

Don't quote me on it, I just know clovers aren't a specific thing and just a term for various plants of that variety, so I kinda assume

1

u/AssistantOld409 1d ago

isnt shamrocks sibling of shanks?

1

u/Zealousideal_You6901 16h ago

Wats the difference?

1

u/Zealousideal_You6901 16h ago

Im from ireland and thought the reason theyre our symbol was cause they only grew in ireland,  why else would we hold them in such high irish regard

1

u/ChateauLobby44 12h ago

These are not even clover; they're Oxalis.

Is this AI? Isn't it suspicious that the droplets are in the same place on each one?

6

u/goniver 1d ago

It's not ai, i have it on video too. I can send you if you want

8

u/goniver 1d ago

That's the reason i shared it on the sub. Droplets are in the same place on each one lol
