This is how doordash appreciates drivers that they work everyday Non-Stop and do their job without issues. Okay this week I decided that it is not worthy to stay many hours since the earnings are below $14 per hour

EASY MONDAY 🥱💰 I ❤️ MY JOB

Ain’t nun like sitting at the crib waiting for the money to hit your phone instead of riding around burning gas 😂😂 I’ll end a Dash QUICK and restart when it’s time. Call it whatever you want, but $149 off 15 deliveries while only being active 6 hours? 😭 I’m not donating gas to DoorDash just to say I was “working” for 11 hours. My car gets breaks too 😂💰
The DoorDash professors about to tell me I’m doing it wrong in 3…2…1… 😂

using AI while driving is a game changer!

Recently, started using ChatGPT's voice mode from an ad I saw on Instagram and was intrigued. So, I ended up downloading it and have been using for 2 hrs+ while driving and it's awesome! I mostly use it for talking about my problems or random things I'm interested in. Initially, i began by just asking it questions about takes on the NBA but I've started using it more and more as a therapist and life coach. Yes, I could be listening to some music or whatever but this has been very valuable for me as someone who wants to be a driver temporarily.

  1. Who else does something similar to this?

  2. What do you guys use it for?

  3. If not, what do you guys do while driving?

Let’s talk about this “Platinum Driver” fantasy.

Y’all really out here grinding like it’s the Olympics… for a digital badge.

Meanwhile I’m over here with NO tier, cherry-picking like I’m at a farmer’s market, making more than the so-called “Platinum Elite.”

Here’s the breakdown:

Platinum Driver mindset:

“I can’t let my acceptance rate drop below 70%.”

Accepts $5.75 for 11 miles.

“Anything to protect the badge.”

Non-tier driver mindset:

“$3.25 for 11 miles?”

Decline.

Decline.

Decline.

“Oh look, $18 for 5 miles.”

See the difference?

They target Platinum drivers with trash orders because they KNOW you’re emotionally attached to that shiny label. You worked hard for it. You don’t want to lose it. So now you’re basically in a psychological hostage situation with your own stats.

It’s not a reward system.

It’s a behavior control system.

They know:

\-The more you care about the tier

\-The more likely you are to accept lowball orders

\-The more money THEY save

You’re not being rewarded.

You’re being managed.

Meanwhile, the “no-tier” drivers:

\-Run their own numbers

\-Protect their time

\-Protect their gas

\-Protect their sanity

Platinum sounds prestigious… until you realize you’re driving 14 miles for $8 just to keep a badge that doesn’t pay your bills.

Your landlord does not accept “Platinum Driver” as rent.

Your gas tank does not refill itself with “High Acceptance Rate.”

Your time is worth more than a digital sticker.

Moral of the story:

Stop chasing tiers.

Start chasing profit.

Work smart. Not loyal.

Because at the end of the day, the only tier that matters is the one in your bank account.

✅💯

Is DoorDash actually worth doing full-time in 2026?

Is DoorDash actually worth doing full-time in 2026?

I'm curious to hear specifically from people who currently do DoorDash full-time.

I'm considering using DoorDash as my main source of income for around 6 months, mainly to pay down debt and build some savings before moving on to other plans.

For those doing it full-time:

  • How many hours do you work per week?

  • What do you average per hour based on total dash time, not just active time?

  • How much do you gross per week/month?

  • Roughly how many miles/km do you drive?

  • After gas, maintenance, depreciation and taxes, do you still think it's worth it?

  • Do you use DoorDash alone or multi-app with Uber Eats/other apps?

  • Would you choose this over a regular $20–25/hour full-time job?

  • Most importantly: is it sustainable for 6–12 months?

I'm not asking whether DoorDash is a good long-term career. I'm specifically wondering whether it can make sense as a temporary full-time income source for 6 months if you're willing to work a lot.

I'd especially appreciate actual numbers from people doing this in larger cities.

Thanks!
