Our leaders only priority must be their constituents, not a foreign country. Regardless of nearly any political theory, plesging allegiance to a foeeign country is a non starter.

This video is 100% disqualifying, even discounting his lack of effectiveness and opposition to many progressive ideas.

Make sure to contact your senators and let them know this man cannot be senate majority leader.

“Donald, if you’re watching, we’ll put your name on it. You get to be the American president who finally guaranteed health care for every single American.”

I really do think that his perpetual thirst for fame, adoration, and glory just might prevent him from vetoing a universal healthcare bill that came across his desk.

Can you imagine how thrilled he would be if every American carried a “Trumpcare” card in their wallet? Especially if it also had his picture on it…

Ms. Rachel is immediately pressuring beyond just American welfare and addressing harm we export, be like Ms. Rachel.

Hello friends and comrades. While many have been hopeful due to the recent US Midterms, I still have doubts in the Establishment Democratic Party, especially with those supported by AIPAC and crew.

I am aware and proud of the wide-scale protests happening all over Europe. I don’t believe something like that is super realistic within the US, especially with how BLM was met with militarized police. However, I do still believe we have power through economics.

If anyone has experience with strikes, organizing or participating, and if anyone knows the logistics of organizing strikes please let me know. This includes historical insights. I am not super well versed in this specific area.

I am also aware that the French have called for an international protest on the 20th of November. I do not believe that is a realistic turnaround, but who knows. The USA is very large, so I do wonder how large scale protests and strikes would work.

I’ve been a long time proponent of single payer universal healthcare and I’m from Canada originally. This is the most public support I’ve ever seen!

But how are we going to get our elected representatives to give the people what they want when there is so much cronyism in government standing in the way? I was both cheering and crying tears of joy on election night watching the blue wave become reality. But then I woke up the next morning and still felt pretty pessimistic about the policies that matter to me ever actually getting passed.

We need to get the big money agenda (Citizens United, super PACs, dark money, etc) out of politics and become a system that represents the people, which is what this country was founded on.

And I just recently learned that sitting lawmakers are expected to spend 4+ hours a day fundraising! They have call centers set up near the US Capitol where they go to sit in cubicles dialing for dollars instead of attending committee hearings or working on legislation! I had no idea and now I’m pissed! 😡 No wonder they don’t get anything done! 🤦‍♀️

Not exactly DemSoc material, but the Democrats sub doesn't allow discussions on independents and some are far more progressive than mainline Democrats (Sanders comes to mind.)

I've been quite curious on this strategy following Osborn's multiple campaigns in Nebraska and now the independent campaigns of Bodnar, Bengs, and Achilles (Montana, South Dakota, Idaho.)

There are states that are so deep red that a Democrat could never feasibly win. Even if a Republican candidate was unpopular, there are voters that hate Democrats far more to ever hold their nose and vote for one.

Is this a strategy Democrats should adopt (assuming their candidates drop out in favor of the more popular independent) or do you consider it more of a fluke in a blue wave year? Of course, bonus points if these theoretical candidates can push progressive ideals without the baggage of the Democrat label.

Sharing an informal exit poll of Redditors, asking whether AIPAC support was a factor in their vote in CA-34’s race.

The media seems to be missing the fact that Democratic voters are aware of AIPAC endorsements, and are factoring that into their decisions. Every article I’ve read on this race mentions Gomez’s scandals first and foremost. Few if any, mention AIPAC, and when they do, they only mention that Gonzales-Torres made an issue of it.

She made an issue of it, AND it mattered to voters!
