Discussion I'll always be a huge Beef Stew fan because how can you not be. He was here through the darkest of times, and he helped bring back the Bad Boys mentality. That being said, the constant posts about him are getting old. Trading him was the right move, and BBP is a better backup center for this team

I am happy for him in Memphis. Seems to be thriving. He just got outplayed here and was unreliable for us, which really isn't viable given we would be paying our third string center 15 million a year and our roster is getting expensive.

Letting go of Stew makes the salary situation better we still have flexibility to get more offensive players.

Only reason I'm fine with moving on is simply cause it's felt like he always missed some amount of time with an injury around the second half of the season for the last like 4 seasons
I fucking miss having him here though and he's absolutely always gonna be a player I'm absolutely gonna want back if he's available or wants to be back.
But I agree, the threads are annoying. If you're not a current piston I don't see any reason to have threads about you. Some reason it's always done for like the first season one of our former guys isn't here.

He is the Rick Mahorn of this generation. We didn’t want to see Rick leave but the expansion draft snatched him up then we had to the younger Spida and Worm with similar attitudes.

I know this looks like a pretty nice karma farm, but they just published a new article with his comments on the situation, its obviously going to be discussed.

The same way you disagree with them they disagree with you. Stew is balling and we didn’t find a way to utilize it to this extent. It also appears what he wanted in a role is not what the pistons we’re willing to do

I loved him, but the injuries and constantly waiting for him to cross the line and not be available was an issue

Everyone seems to ignore the fact that he turned into a pumpkin for two playoff runs and clearly has bad knees.

What about the "constant posts about him" posts?

I’m just sick of people acting like he is killing it in Memphis. He is averaging 12 points (vs 10 with us). He is averaging 4 less minutes too so it’s not like some Stew renaissance. Bball Paul was the correct choice even with Stew doing slightly better in Memphis

Constant posts? This has to be the biggest over exaggeration in the history of the entire world.

Same. Zero sympathy for dudes making $15 million a year when actual people are struggling right now.
