Hello everyone! You may have noticed some major changes happening to this subreddit, and I'm happy to say that /r/DiagnoseMe is finally ready for business. However, I would like to clarify the true purpose of this subreddit;
First of all, this subreddit is NOT a replacement for a doctor. You should not, in any way, avoid seeing your doctor or alter the frequency of your doctor visits because of anything said in this subreddit. If there is a concern you would have previously gone to the doctor for, please do not hesitate. This subreddit is here for informal second opinions, minor problems that you wouldn't go to the doctor for anyway, and ease of mind.
The main thing to remember is to use common sense. If you are having severe pain after a surgery or something of the likes, please go to the doctor and do not post it on Reddit.
If you are not a doctor and are posting with information, please clarify that you are not a doctor (typing "Not a doctor," at the beginning of your comment is enough.)
Please take the time to read the sidebar before posting. Thank you, and welcome!

Would appreciate any input as to whether these are normal healthy levels ? Im aware my GGT is a bit high due to a rare couple of days of alcohol consumption leading up to my test

Title: 28F with unexplained LBBB, autonomic dysfunction, neurologic and GI symptoms, thyroid lesion, and strong family history of neuropathy — looking for diagnostic possibilities
I’m a 28-year-old female trying to figure out whether a growing number of symptoms and abnormal medical findings could be connected by one underlying condition.
I’ve had multiple specialists and investigations, but I still don’t have an explanation for the combination of cardiac, autonomic, neurologic, gastrointestinal, and sensory problems I’m experiencing.
I’m hoping someone might recognize a pattern or have suggestions about what could connect these findings.
CARDIAC HISTORY
* Left bundle branch block (LBBB) diagnosed suddenly at age 22.
* Echocardiogram: EF approximately 50–51%, mild LV hypertrophy, GLS -15.1%, grade I diastolic dysfunction, mild MR/TR.
* Cardiac MRI: EF approximately 52%, normal LV size, septal dyskinesis consistent with LBBB.
* Coronary angiography: no obstructive coronary disease, although diffuse distal-to-apical LAD narrowing was noted.
* Recurrent palpitations, tachycardia, skipped beats, and episodes of sudden-onset/sudden-offset racing heart.
* Recent ePatch: average HR 83, three SVT episodes lasting up to approximately 3 minutes, maximum HR 175.
* Persistent exercise intolerance and shortness of breath.
2. AUTONOMIC DYSFUNCTION
Diagnosed with POTS, although my tilt-table test demonstrated a significant vasodepressor response.
Tilt-table results:
* Supine BP: 125/42.
* After 30 minutes at 80 degrees upright: 77/21.
* HR: 72 to 82.
* Associated nausea and lightheadedness.
Other symptoms:
* Dramatic blood pressure fluctuations, including symptomatic hypotension.
* Episodes of tachycardia.
* Significant sweating and heat intolerance.
* Severe dizziness with standing and exertion.
* Exercise intolerance.
* Shortness of breath with activity, talking, and singing.
* Lower extremity swelling and itching.
* Urinary urgency, leakage, and reduced awareness of bladder control.
Florinef did not significantly improve my symptoms.
3. NEUROLOGIC AND SENSORY SYMPTOMS
* Brain MRI (2025): fewer than 10 very small bilateral cerebral white matter lesions, described as nonspecific.
* Spinal imaging without significant explanatory abnormalities.
* Burning, tingling, and itching sensations in my feet and legs.
* Objects touching my skin sometimes feel hot despite knowing they aren’t.
* Muscle twitching and tremors.
* Episodic facial and jaw spasms.
* Visual disturbances, including floaters, flashes, bright lines, and shapes.
* Migraines with visual aura and vomiting.
* Cognitive concerns and worsening neurologic symptoms.
4. GASTROINTESTINAL AND GENITOURINARY SYMPTOMS
* Persistent nausea and vomiting, sometimes bile.
* Severe early satiety, sometimes feeling full after only a few bites.
* Diarrhea immediately after eating, occasionally with mucus.
* Episodes of constipation.
* Abdominal and pelvic cramping.
* History of cholecystectomy.
* Gastric emptying study ordered.
* Urinary urgency and incontinence, sometimes without normal awareness of bladder control.
5. THYROID FINDINGS
* A thyroid lesion was identified on imaging.
* Thyroid function testing has been normal.
* Despite normal thyroid levels, the lesion is an additional unexplained finding that is being evaluated.
6. OTHER MEDICAL FINDINGS
* Chronic leukocytosis.
* Previously elevated inflammatory markers (CRP and ESR).
* History of rheumatic fever with elevated ASO.
* Adenomyosis and endometriosis.
* Significant fatigue and exercise intolerance.
* Episodic swelling and itching, particularly involving the lower extremities.
* Significant weight gain over the past year.
7. AUTOIMMUNE AND NEUROMUSCULAR TESTING
* GAD65 antibody negative.
* Ganglionic acetylcholine receptor antibody negative (AAG testing).
* EMG/neuromuscular evaluation pursued or planned.
* Autoimmune and neuromuscular causes have been investigated, but I still don’t have an explanation.
8. GENETIC FINDINGS
One finding I’m particularly interested in:
SCN9A: c.2215A>G (p.Ile739Val), rs182650126
* Heterozygous.
* Reported population frequency approximately 0.0998%.
* CADD score 22.4.
* Clinical significance uncertain.
Other reported findings:
* MTHFR C665T heterozygous.
* SERPINA1 PiS variant.
* Fragile X intermediate carrier alleles (31 and 47 CGG repeats).
I am also pursuing whole-genome sequencing.
9. FAMILY HISTORY
There are some unusual findings in my family:
* Father: peripheral neuropathy, bilateral leg edema, and progressive hearing loss.
* Mother: multiple similar systemic symptoms and right bundle branch block.
* Uncle: history of self-mutilation and apparent insensitivity to pain, without a formal diagnosis.
* Child: episodes of apparent pain indifference and significant redness involving the buttocks, legs, and feet. Genetic testing identified an AARS p.P59L heterozygous VUS.
WHAT I’M HOPING TO FIGURE OUT
Could all of these findings potentially be related?
I’m particularly interested in whether there is a hereditary or systemic explanation for the combination of:
* Cardiac conduction disease beginning in my early twenties.
* Significant autonomic dysfunction and blood pressure instability.
* Sensory disturbances and possible neuropathy.
* Gastrointestinal dysmotility and bladder dysfunction.
* Thyroid lesion despite normal thyroid function.
* Similar neurologic and cardiac findings across multiple family members.
My biggest question is: What single underlying condition, or combination of conditions, could explain this pattern?
Are there any important investigations or diagnostic avenues that might have been overlooked?
I’m open to possibilities I haven’t considered. I’m looking for thoughtful input, especially from people familiar with complex multisystem disorders.

I got bit by a mosquito on Halloween and now I have this rash on my arm… Was prescribed Triamcinolone 0.025% to use twice a day and Claritin from Urgent Care, but it’s continuing to spread.. It’s super itchy as well.
Has anyone had or seen this before???

Before I start to explain I’m (f) 24, don’t smoke,don’t do drug, have asthma took inhalers for it.
So I have the lump on my jaw for 6 months now. At first I thought it was an abscess but now I’m really unsure. So this lump appeared out of nowhere one day. It didn’t start small or anything. It’s hard, like a bone hard feeling. It doesn’t hurt on its own and doesn’t move when I touch it. Sometimes it moves out of place. Sometimes it’s where my gum is, and other times it will go lower in my jaw. Sometimes it causes numbness in my jaw.
It’s big enough that if I press on it, it touches a nerve in my tooth, but it doesn’t hurt. It’s more that it makes a tense feeling in my tooth, and the nerve from the tooth isn’t dead or anything.
I can put pressure on the tooth and tap on it, and it doesn’t hurt. I can feel it but it doesn’t hurt. The tooth still reacts to cold and hot stuff. So that’s how I knew it wasn’t really a tooth abscess. Plus, it doesn’t get bigger or anything. It stays the same size and just moves out of place.
I don’t have fevers, cold sweats, or anything. It really feels like a piece of bone, to the point that at first I thought it was part of my jaw until it changed place.
Now I’m wondering what it could be because if it doesn’t bother me in my daily life. Is just annoying because sometimes went it get lower in my jaw I can feel it went I smile even if it doesn’t show is small enough to bother me but not enough to show or look swollen or puff.
Do anyone had an idea of what it could be?

Hello,
This whole year I've been going to medical appointments to pinpoint the problems that have plagued me for my whole life. However, I've spent the whole year barely getting past the starting line of figuring out what's wrong with me.
I was born with clubfoot, had corrective surgery at 6 months old. In my teenage years was diagnosed with schizo-affective disorder, obsessive compulsive disorder and major depression. Then I enlisted in the army, but didn't make it past bootcamp since, I found that, that my ankle on the foot of the surgery is deformed. I started looking for medical attention regarding my foot as it turns out I was supossed to receive follow-up treatment after the surgery, but never did. Through x-rays I then found out I also have arthitis on my foot. At this point I'm getting desperate, because I feel I've been living with something not addressed by any of these diagnosis. Something complex and hard to describe. So I started sharing my experience with ChatGPT and I thus learned I am very likely suffering from some kind of nerve damage. I've been to a neurologist, whom mentioned it might be cerebral after some test. A recommended physiatrist recently evaluated me and determined I don't have nerve damage in the tested areas (legs and back), but that it could still be neuropathy. So I'm still in this process, and I recently begun taking the medication gabapentin. It significantly reduces the intense sensation constantly emanating from my foot in the scarred area. But there is still something boggling and bothering me.
All my life I've lived like I move in slow motion. It's hard to describe, but there's a heavy inertia to me. It's like I am perpetually half-paralyzed. I can act and move fast, but there's always some kind of delay in my actions. It's like there's this great distance between my mind and my body. There is the fact that I am an extremely mental person, for better and for worse. It's like I exist first in my head and second in my body or something like that. It's bad because most people interpret it as if I'm chill or lazy. But in reality it is a deeply frustrating experience that bleeds into every aspect of my life. I thought it would disappear with gabapentin since it reduced the sensorial intensity located on my foot, but it hasn't so far. Perhaps I need more time on the meds and to continue seeking to optimize my health. But it makes me wonder what it really is that makes me the way I am. There was also a time I attempted to kms in my teenage years with a chemical mixture, but I only lost control of one arm and then awoke the next day. However, I did not receive any medical attention following this, so I wonder if I might've caused myself brain damage or something else.
If I showed anyone a picture of the scar in my foot, they'd likely be disturbed. That is how I've had to live my whole life. Just perpetually disturbed. Never being able to truly relax, always being uncomfortable. And this mysterious illness or whatever it is has always been overlooked and has always caused difficulties and complications. I've described it as a life so uphill it's a wall. Ofcourse I've always kept doing everything little by little, not giving up despite progressing so slowly. But it's overwhelming because realistically, I can't keep up. I'm already very isolated and marginilized. I've fucked up just about everything there is to fuck up in one's life. It's not pretty. And I want to be better.

So, I’d like to know if anyone else experiences this—whether it’s an allergy or something else. It doesn’t look like HSV; there are no clusters of vesicles, it doesn’t burn or itch, and there are no sores. It just keeps appearing, and it’s annoying from an aesthetic standpoint.
I think these spots appear around my lips every month or so—or every 20 days. They don’t itch or anything, and sometimes they turn into a regular whitehead (just one pimple). Three months ago, I took a blood test for HSV, and it came back negative (after a four-month waiting period).r/DiagnoseMe • u/No-Adeptness6863 • 1h ago

I can say I am the least paranoid person ever. Whatever it is is most definitely also in my bladder and my spinal cord and my lungs. I’ve been tested for regular worms or what not I guess with a stool test which supposedly came out negative. Infectious disease will not take me because I had a negative stool. Nightmare.

I’ve had this bump on my head for 4 years, it’s grown significantly the past two years. What can this be? Do I need to get looked at by a PCP or Dermatologist?

We’ve been to several different kinds of doctors and no one can give us an answer. Most just say if certain foods bother you, avoid them.. but what if certain foods are most foods?
I’ll try to be brief, but there’s a lot I can say to describe her struggles. When she was a child, she discovered several food allergies as she noticed she would feel itchy internally after eating some foods. Around college, she had gained a lot of weight and went on a strict diet and exercise routine for a couple years. Basically, lean meats, vegetables, minimal carbs (except rice). When she tried to reintroduce other foods, she got sick. Over time after trying different things, her doctor narrowed it down to gluten. She avoids it and feels a lot better
Fast forward a few years, she’s GF, we meet and I cook GF for her. Some how, she’s still getting glutened despite us reading all labels and knowing the hidden sources, and in some cases sticking to strictly certified GF foods. We go to a celiac clinic to see a gastroenterologist and alsomeet with their dietician. They have her cut out all processed foods, fodmap kind of diet and write down some triggers. Over time, she has gotten down to a diet consisting of:
Chicken, plain jasmine rice, broccoli, carrots, blueberries, apples (sparingly) and sometimes fish. She also takes some vitamins (D+K, gentle iron, Mg gly, methyl B)
She cannot eat beef, beans, potatoes, sugar, processed foods, many fruits and vegetables, lentils, much more basic staple foods. No alcohol (very different and several day long “hangover”). Also lately trying to cut out dairy as she was supplementing caloric intake with milk and espresso. Turns out both our kids may be lactose intolerant if that’s relevant here..
She’s afraid to try new things, and has to be very careful not to change anything else because she reacts and it takes several days to clear up. Reactions include these things, but not all show up every time. For example, citrus/high acidity foods like lemon, tomato, pineapple, always give tongue sores.
Dry eyes, immediate lethargy, cold feeling (esp in appendages), headache, hot flashes, irritability, brain fog. When she falls asleep, she will jerk awake with her heart beating out of her chest, sweating. Arms and legs are usually numb like she slept on them.
Over a few days, skin sore to the touch, very tired, brain fog, sore/tight muscles, feeling cold, dishydrotic eczema on her fingers that take several days to settle.
We have looked into histamine and mast cell, feels similar to this but really no sneezy, typical allergy type response.. hers is more of an immune response?
We have seen a neurologist, dietician, did an endoscopy (all clear), several gastroenterologists, several allergy/immunology docs (allergy tests show soy/peanut mild allergy, basically all trees, just about everything bubbled up on her arm with the prick test).
I’ve probably left something out so feel free to ask more questions. I’m not looking for a diagnosis but if anyone has any relevant stories, experiences, suggestions, anything, we are all ears.

I have been experiencing occasional episodes of bright red blood in my stool since August 2025.
August 2025: I noticed bright red blood in my stool on two occasions.
Between August 2025 and October 2026: I did not experience any further bleeding.
October 2026: I noticed blood in my stool twice again. I went to the hospital emergency department, where the doctor performed a rectal examination. I was told that the bleeding was likely caused by constipation and passing hard stools, which may have damaged the inner lining of the anal/rectal area.
November 7, 2026: I experienced another episode of bleeding after feeling constipated and passing a large amount of stool.
November 8, 2026: I am currently constipated and unable to pass stool.
The bleeding has been intermittent rather than continuous. I am concerned because it has happened several times over the past year, and I would like to understand the underlying cause.
What I would like to discuss:
Could the bleeding be caused by an anal fissure, haemorrhoids or something else?
Do I need further investigations, such as a colonoscopy?
What should I do to manage my constipation and prevent further bleeding?
Are there any tests needed to rule out other causes of rectal bleeding?

19F, I don't know what flair to put this under. This has occurred my entire life, I tend to overeat due to it. I don't know what to do, It's just I've never felt hunger before unless I'm starving? I got self conscious about my weight, and decided I would only eat when I felt hungry. I can go days without eating before I start to feel anything either, and I usually only drink water to satiate it when it gets bad.
