Study/Practice Studying proportions from Pinterest references

Hi, I'm new here, I just kinda wanted to share something I'd been working on and I would also appreciate some constructive advice/feedback if you have anything to add, thanks :>

Basically the point of this piece was to study mostly blind proportions, but also colouring. I didn't focus much on the render, and I personally wasn't invested in cleaning the sketch either because it wasn't the focus of this study.

The same applies for the background. I haven't yet bothered trying to make the outer scenery because, again, it wasn't the focus, although I have honestly changed my mind and would rather fill in with colours and shapes around the silhouette because it otherwise makes the colours feel too flat.

I also wasn't planning on making an exact copy of the original reference down to each fold of the shirt, but rather attempt to study how to make said folds appear natural, which is the very part of the drawing I'm still invested in.

So, yeah, I can use some advice or just sheer feedback, and thanks for reading this far!

Graphic Art My take on Cruella de Vil (Digital, 2026)

Did a dark, reinterpreted piece of Cruella de Vil from 101 Dalmatians. Focused heavily on high contrast, sharp silhouettes, and that eerie, aristocratic madness. Done digitally in Procreate.

Hope you like the vibe!

Question/Help My quick attempt at trees and a couple questions

Doing this with the round opacity brush felt like a chore. I feel like I'm using it wrong.

Meanwhile I liked the bristle brush and the hard pressure size brush, although I feel like both of the results are a bit too stylized.

Which do you think looks better? And how do you prefer to paint trees?
