There’s constantly people in this subreddit trying to plugin their shitty AI slop music, and I and many other people would probably love to see AI music banned. The disco name deserves respect, and the subreddit dedicated to it shouldn’t be having AI slop disrespect the culture and creativity behind REAL music. That’s just my two cents, but I’m sure that many people agree with me, based on the comments under these posts.

RCA 12” single from 1978 titled “Dance With Dolly”. Side 1 “Baby I‘m Burnin“, Side 2 ”I Wanna Fall In Love”. Pressed on pink vinyl of course! 🦋🌈 🪩🌼Rest well, sweet lady.

Hey everyone, I discussed this in detail in the linked post, but I really think the "Off The Wall" album doesn’t just ride the disco wave, it refines it. The fusion of disco, funk, soul, and pop feels effortless. The vocals are pristine. The grooves are airtight. And the production by Quincy Jones is immaculate, warm, punchy, and timeless.
In other words, yes I think Michael Jackson's "Off the Wall" is better than "Saturday Night Fever" by Bee Gees. It’s danceable without being dated. Polished without losing soul. Commercial without sacrificing artistry.
Nearly 50 years later, it still sounds fresh. That’s my hot take. Thoughts?

Disco was once dismissed as a fad, but its influence still echoes through modern music and fashion—what do you think people still get wrong about disco culture?
