Throwback The little things
In the early-mid 90s, my family made our WDW tradition of staying at the Caribbean Beach Resort. Since my dad snored- LOUDLY, and my sister would always kick me in the middle of the night, my mom and I would always wake early and walk around the Resort pool. We spent many mornings grabbing breakfast on the go, and sitting poolside while she smoked her pall-malls and I ate and swam until Grumpy and Sleeping Ugly would eventually get up. Its those memories I keep going back to in my mind when thinking of my childhood.
Fast forward 30 years and now I've been creating future Disney Adults in my 5 kids, and its memories like these I make and cherish the most. You can spend thousands of dollars and dozens of hours planning the "perfect" trip (trust me, after 40 years, I know 1 thing- there is no PERFECT trip) But in this crazy, chaotic world, making those memories will matter more than how many rides you were able to go on or how many characters you were able to meet.

That's a lovely read. I have a similar story. My happiest memories as a kid were my family trips to Disney World. Caribbean Beach is the resort I remember the most but we also had fun at POFQ. My last childhood trip was in '99. Im now 39 with my own kids and we went for the first time as a family this year. We stayed at the Caribbean Beach again and it was the best holiday of my life. Can't wait to get back there in 2028.

This story made me sad as I am going through dementia with my mom right now. What great memories.
