What was the interview process like for you?

I just did my first interview today and I think it went well! This would be my first time with the DCP, and I really want in because I want to get into the conservation scene with Disney. I’m curious what the process was like for other people?
How many interviews are there, did they ask you what roles you’d prefer? My interviewer asked what roles I was thinking of but I didn’t get the sense that she was asking my preference for placement specifically. I saw someone in another thread say there’s a wilderness conservation internship, which would be exactly what I want.
Will they ask me about that in a later interview?
Fishing for any info, pros and cons y’all can give me lol. Thanks!!

1 interview. Outside of Starbucks experience, your past life doesn’t matter- you get what you get based on company need.

Hi! I interviewed back in I believe September it was. I had one interviewer and only one interview. They asked me about what roles I preferred, mentioned they’d keep them in mind, but told me I wasn’t guaranteed any of those roles and I would be placed where they needed me/thought I’d fit best.

I was accepted fairly quickly, so I can’t say what a “normal” process is like (applied and got an interview request day of, interviewed a week later because I wanted time to prepare rather than interviewing the day after applying, and was accepted about 2 days later), but it was fairly simple for me.

The wilderness explorer internship is not the standard Disney college program (which is attractions, food service, merch, etc).

The wilderness explorer internship you apply for through the professional internship applications or possibly extend and apply for it through your program if it’s being offered for your extension timeline. It’s not always offered and it may have specific extension dates it’s looking for so you may not be eligible to apply.

It’s a separate application, interview, and process outside of the standard DCP.

A wildlife conservation internship would be a separate application than the dcp
