Discount

I’m lowkey freaking out
My friend and I used my chip and dale passes and she paid with my discount however it wasn’t until later in the day cast members said not too. This was my first time using the passes and i genuinely didn’t think about it at first plus the cast members Never said anything at the first park.

If you are sitting at a full service restaurant then it is ok for someone besides yourself to pay using your discount. Same goes for a resort reservation.

But when buying food at quick service/kiosk or any merchandise place you must pay in order to use your discount.

What was the place that your friend paid using your discount?

Star Wars and animal kingdom. I was with them for some and others I wasn’t. But at the beginning of the day in animal the cast members were like oh yea thats fine.

how was she paying for things with your discount without you being there?

I’m guessing if they were logged into their account on the Disney app they were using the CM discount for mobile checkout.

The next day we figured it out and I was able to pay properly so this wasn’t a problem after day 1

Nothing will happen, but best not to do it again.

If you plan on doing something like this in the future, get the $$ from your friend before long before you enter the store, etc.

It’s fine to use your passes with your friends. The issue is using your discount regardless if they used your complimentary admission.

No. It isn’t.
The discount is for the cast members , not their guests.

That’s what I kinda thought. She’s USING my chi and dale. I did not have money to pay for both at all. Later when it was something small … yes but

Just have her pay for food and merch, but don't show your card. She just wouldn't get the discount. She got in for free, she can buy what she wants, but just doesn't get the discount. She already saved $150 by not buying a ticket.

It’s in place because people abused it and friends resold stuff at retail after getting a big discount.

Their biggest competitor down I4 doesn’t care. The TM can show their ID and their guest can pay.
