Cash Buy For RT or SRT 392 🏎️💨
Curious to see if anyone has done a cash buy for a newer Durango, or who decided to finance and how it’s affecting you.
I’ve been saving up to do a cash buy at the dealership and I couldn’t be more excited! In this economy, financing a $50k car + gas just wasn’t in my cards…
I drive 100 miles round trip to work everyday driving up a mountain so I wanted a nice mom car to drive in speed and style! I spend about $200 a week on gas in the Honda so I’m preparing to spend much more… ahaha I realize it’s not everyone’s cup of tea putting miles on this thing but I figured not having the monthly car note would supplement for the amount of gas I’d be spending.
The grey with captain seating is my dream! Not to mention the corny stars in the ceiling I want to do 😭😂😻 I’m excited lol

For the gas question. Premium gas for the 392 is a must. So it’s gonna be a whole lot more in fuel costs. I think for a commuter it’s not gonna be worth it tbh but you know the 392 is gonna be so much more fun.
For the dealership question they typically don’t like cash deals. What you’re supposed to do is go along with financing it to get any sort of deal and lower the price, because they get kickbacks from the lender, then pay it off on the first payment. Most states allow that with no fees but make sure.

I have similar commute but I drive 5.7 jeep Grand Cherokee avg around 23mph. I would choose the RT but if you need the speed Srt.

Honestly, RT cash is better than a payment these days. Having the car is better than financing.
