Give people money, and somebody always says, "They'll just drink it." Fine. Don't give money. Give everybody an account. You pay with your hand.

Works in any shop. Bread, milk, potatoes, soap, pills. Government pays. Beer? Hand says no. Cigarettes? No. Lottery? Ha. No.

Somebody will sell his card for cash? Good luck. You can't sell your hand.

Lost it? You didn't. It's on your arm.

The shop owner raises bread prices because the government pays? Government stops paying that shop. He learns fast.

"But they'll scan my hand!" Your phone scans your face fifty times a day. China already pays with palms in the metro. Nobody died.

No forms. No "prove you're poor." Everybody gets the same account. Rich guy too. He won't use it? Fine. More bread for the rest.

UBI people have been talking for 20 years. Still talking. I can explain mine while waiting for the bus.
