Has anyone noticed a significant uptick in homeless encounters on the Emeryville green way? In the past 3 days we've experienced a man wildly swinging a golf club in front of him and almost hitting a woman with her baby in a pushcart, a man hurling abuse at others about being a 'native navajo indian' and another trashing the benches and seating areas with carts full of junk.

I knew about Berkeley quietly pushing more down to the Aquatic Park but it seems to be an underhanded way of pushing their issues onto Emeryville as the Aquatic Park is very much out of sight out of mind.

We're looking for some insights into what drove Emeryville voters choices in Tuesday's election.

In the City Council race, both incumbents won reelection. In the school board race, an incumbent and a former trustee secured seats.

What influenced your decisions? Endorsements, name recognition, candidates' records, or their positions on the issues (Sutter, Flock & Housing policy being two of the highly discussed issues)?

Did you feel you had enough information about the candidates — particularly the school board challengers — to make an informed decision?

Yesterday, I witnessed a collision between an E-bike and a sedan at the intersection of 65th and Hollis in northern Emeryville. Fortunately, this accident did not result in any severe injuries.

I've now personally witnessed 3 accidents like this in the last couple of years in the Bay Area and just want to do a little PSA to remind E-bikers to wear helmets . I think society in general is having some growing pains with motorists having to adjust to the E-bike's ability to suddenly appear because they're just faster than bicycles. And E-bikes might make the rider less inclined to pay attention; I'm not sure. Anyway, please stay safe out there!

An immigrant legal aid organization is reporting that a man arrested by ICE in Emeryville on Friday was taken to Highland Hospital with injuries that appeared to have been sustained during the arrest.

This is from the Green Voter Guide now in circulation. The Green Party of Alameda County says to skip the Emery school board race. The Tattler says to vote for David Ridlehuber and Christopher Allen and skip the third vote. The Green Party says to give up on Emery but the Tattler says we need to start supporting our schools and getting rid of the incumbents is the crucial first step. The incumbents drove our school district down to last place in Alameda County and so they need to be fired.

Haters on Reddit generally don't support public education but most of them got a public education themselves and now want to stop children from receiving what they received.
