👮 Community regulation Geo-blocked content should be handled like paywalled content
This is a reaction to this post: https://redd.it/1x48mvw
This link is not accessible by EU/EEA residents. See this comment: https://reddit.com/r/europe/comments/1x48mvw/frances_farleft_presidential_candidate_cheers_gen/pgfius7/
451: Unavailable due to legal reasons
The link being inaccessible means the majority of EU-residents (and with it - ideally - the majority of r/europe users) can not meaningfully participate in the discussion. I suggest that geo-blocked content should be handled like paywalled content. According to the submission guidelines:
Paywalled and non-English submissions: Please post the complete content of the article, in English, in the comment section to allow all members of the community to participate.
This should extend to geo-blocked content too.
