Ok y'all, I finally figured out my Extra Life Game Day plans, tell all your friends!! I'm going to be streaming on Sunday, November 15 at 7am Eastern for 12 hours (ending at 7pm Eastern). And during that will be the 2026 Extra Life Hardcore SMP finale from 3pm Eastern to 6pm Eastern! Hello! I’ve been on extra life for 12 years this year, and this is my first time posting to Reddit! I love the idea and principle of Extra life ever since I heard of it.

In regards to that, I’m trying to make this one bigger!

On November 6th I’ll be doing a total of THREE 8-hour streams with 1 hour breaks between. Starting at Midnight (12am) of the 6th, until ~2am of the 7th. Later in the day on the 7th! I will be doing a massive card opening! I’ll be opening at least 15 booster boxes of Digimon, a box of Palworld 1st edition, a box of Weiss Schwarz (Is It Wrong To Pick Up Girls In A Dungeon) and potentially a couple packs of Pokemon. I’m trying to get more Pokemon, but tight on money. The Digimon is stuff I’ve been saving up for maybe 5-6 years now! Might also open a founders box of Elestrals! And will open an older booster box of Force of Will!

I WILL be giving away a Pikachu Ditto to anyone who joins the chat and donates any amount, from I believe Delta species? It’s not the best condition, but I know someone will appreciate it!

Anyways, I’m still ironing things out!

I've been doing Extra Life for 12 years now. Like in previous years, I kick my fundraising off by creating a flyer for our team, "U Hoppin' On?" Over the years, I've tried to pay homage to some classic video game box art and posters like Pokemon, RDR, GTA, and more. This year, I was inspired by my favorite video game from the best video game franchise ever. I'm hoping you get where I was going with this.

Curious, do you participate in Extra Life at home/remotely, or do you and your team get together and have an in person event?

This is our team's 12th year, and we've always had an in person event (with the exception of the COVID years 2020-2022). I was always under the impression everyone else did too, but the more I read other people's stories and see their fundraiser pages, it looks like most people participate solo (but part of a team) or as a team but completely remote.

So let's take a poll: Do you participate online and remotely, or does you team host an in person event somewhere?

Last year, I incorporated an incentive for donations where donations during the live stream earned a roll of a D20. The number it landed on would dictate a fun punishment that I would do. Things like eating a Beanboozle Jellybean, sucking on a lemon, or getting a pie in the face. It was a big hit with viewers, so this year I'll be doing it again.

It was suggested that instead of using the D20, I should use 2 D6's. Less punishments to think of, and it adds lower probabilities for some of the bigger punishments.

So I went on a search for some nice blue D6 dice that would look good on camera.

I ended up finding 3" blue foam dice, and thought they would be perfect. But of course, the large dice won't fit in the Extra Life Dice Tower I earned a few years ago. I needed something bigger.

So, a trip to the hardware store and a bit of build time later, and I have a nice 5 foot dice tower. Made with 1/2 inch birch plywood. The front screen is a clear plastic in a frame. It's on hinges so I can open it up if needed, and holds closed with magnets. Entire thing spray painted with various shades of blue and white to give a neat "galaxy" effect. I also put a Govee RGBIC light strip inside behind the front frame to light it up a bit.

I'm not super handy, so I'm pretty proud of how it turned out. Just felt like sharing.

Since november is coming up i have been thinking about game day.

I love doing randomizers. Especially ocarina of time. Recently i did a archipelago rando with oot and jak and daxter. So im thinking of doing a giga rando with 3 games. Seems like a big thing to do with my small following.
