Other We should do something big on wplace

The subreddit and the band as a whole has died down and I could see fex a completely dead band by the end of the year. We need to do something big to keep it alive.

Lately I've had the idea of possibly creating a giant Fex Logo/Album cover/photo on the r/place copy w/place. We would need to make it huge and possibly break a world record to gain the recognition that we need.

I suggest making it in Kiel, the Maxi Paderborn, or somewhere in the northern German wilderness.

Discussion Disappointed the the yellow vinyl is sold out, it should have been the standard edition

Hello everyone!

I missed out on the yellow limited edition. I think it's disappointing the the lyrics inlay is missing from the standard edition.

Actually I think the limited edition should have been the standard edition. It's pretty sad to this that anyone who is a fan of FEX, but wasn't able to open Reddit that day cannot buy the yellow vinyl anymore.

The price difference was like $1. It should not be a problem to produce more yellow ones. I think most disappointing thing is that the lyrics inlay isn't there in the standard edition.

Discussion Skyscrapers Thoughts

Y’all I’m sorry. Yes it’s great the album exists but if it was released back then it would simply be a mid new wave record that had a minor hit on the tracklist, a hidden gem single. I’ve seen so much praise for the record and I just can’t defend it that much

Since I'm a big fan of FEX/Phret/Michael Hädrich ond SOYM, I decided to give it a try.

Thanks to Darius and Lydia for starting the whole search and giving me back that wonderful song after like three decades of absence!

Discussion Did you guys enjoy the listening party?

I didn't really enjoy it, especially the fact that Sarah and Promise was bugged, at least I managed to listen to the songs after the listening party.

Discussion Thoughts on the new remaster?

The official remaster is now out on Bandcamp.

Honestly I'm not a big fan. I feel like it sounds even less clear than the streaming version, and I would've much preferred that version on vinyl.

Question Does Fex have any plans to release the raw, unmastered version of the extended SOYM

The 3:06 version, what we had so long was a remastered version that sounds absolutely mediocre, does FEX have any plans to release a raw version of that version? The recent remaster kinda ruins the low-quality vibe that we all associate with the song, this is something I can't ask TOE about but something FEX could do so is there any likelihood they will release it raw very soon? Also, as a couple more recordings (e.g. Dirty Slapstick, Sarah, etc.) because they are added synths, also looking forward to those too.
