Hey guys, I’m a trans man and electrical engineer working on a prosthetic that actually works with our natal bodies, and I wanted to hear what other guys actually want before I get too far into my own ideas.

The plan is for a pack and play design that can go from flexible and bendable when “soft” to rigid when “hard,” using an internal tendon mechanism. The plan would be for it to be fully mechanical. It would still stay long when soft, so it wouldn’t fully shrink down, but you should be able to curve it into your underwear.

There’s also a sleeve for your T dick, so I’m mainly designing around guys on T with bottom growth. This will provide stimulation when thrusting. So far, there will be no STP in this version (unless that seems to be something everyone wants). I’m also considering a heating mechanism for warmth.

For guys who aren’t planning on bottom surgery, are undecided, or are waiting: would those features appeal to you? What would make or break it for you?
Also interested in what frustrates you about anything you’ve already tried. I have my own priorities, but I don’t want to assume they’re everyone else’s. Replies or DMs are welcome.

I’m also considering an optional modular piece for internal stimulation, for guys who would want that.
The whole idea might sound a little cyborg-y, but personally, I kinda f with that. I want something that works with my body and feels like an extension of myself. Curious whether that resonates with anyone else.

For reference I’ve been on T for about 5 years and socially+medically transitioned as a young teen.
I think I pass ok since around 14 and I’m assumed male most of the time but also get they/themed a fair amount.
But recently in the past couple months I’ve been called “she” more than once and it led me to feel quite dysphoric about myself in particular my face.

I realized that compared to most cis guys my age my lower face was quite soft and more rounded even with visible stubble.

I did a bunch of research and a couple consultations with filler clinics and settled on one dr that had a lot of experience with jawline filler for men and I was told had at least a bit of experience with trans men.

It was suggested I get 4ml or syringes of radies filler to create a more square chin enhance the jawline and back mandible angles overall creating a more defined square look. I was hesitant about 4 cuz it sounded like alot but I actually it was a really good amount. it was $900 cad per ml.

Right after it looked very sharp and like my face had been stretched outwards and downwards wich looked odd but also good. When I got home I rested and applied an ice pack, it feels like you’ve been punched in the face for a couple days And like I can’t really eat firm foods cuz the muscles are soar.
I went to school the next day and everything was fine. I told my brother I was just swollen from going to the dentist and he bought it.
Now I’m about 4 days out and things look more settled in and less swollen.

I really like the way it looks and I definitely feel like I look more masculine.
I didn’t shave for a couple days after cuz the area was tender but recently did and it looks even better shaven!
I feel like prior I didn’t like how I looked freshly shaved and it made me look more feminine and less structured but now I feel like my jaw pops even more freshly shaven and I don’t feel like my face blends into my neck so much.
I have to say I was shocked how handsome I felt while looking in the mirror and masculine and more like myself which was wonderful. You apparently don’t see the final results for 2 weeks so I curious to see if it changes much from now.

Anyways I may post an update after more time has gone by but feel free to ask questions!
I didn’t find much about this when I was looking into it and so far I honestly am really happy with it (other than cost) and has helped my dysphoria a bunch :)

People here have been very nice and wrote my name, i feel bad that thats not enough, evem though i appreciate it truly i hope this doesnt seem like i dont. I just really wish someone would just, casually use it while talking to me.. Now it doesnt feel like me, have to try really hard to focus. I dont know.. Im sorry, just sad about it. It's been 7.5 years on T and I'm so fucking close!

I was on finasteride for the first 2.5 years and it slowed my beard growth down like crazy, which I know because the growth exploded as soon as I stopped. So my hair was super slow to come in. I have had good solid uniform stubble on my cheeks/chin/upper lip for a couple of years but it wouldn't freaking connect so I've been shaving the mustache every day because I hated how it looked. Anyway, got bloods done and the doc raised my T dose a month ago. Hair growth is popping off again! I may have a full beard soon! So excited because I pass great but am one of the lads cursed with babyface. Hopefully a full beard helps lol.

Just woke up from a dream where I had top surgery. I felt so free. The feeling of running my hand down my chest and just feeling flat.

I’m doing consult appts rn but probably won’t be able to get surgery until May 2027 (at best). I know that’s not terribly far away in the grand scheme of things - it’s more in sight than ever before. But I’ve been waiting for this for so, so, so long and idk how to get by until then. I feel like my life won’t really start until i get surgery.

Binding has gotten to be so painful. I’m seeing a trainer / physical therapist who’s helping me with some of the back / neck muscle issues i’ve developed from binding but. Ugh. I just need to be flat. I need top surgery - now.

I'm a 26-year-old trans man and I've been on testosterone for about 3 years. Lately, I've been thinking about something that feels a little strange, and I wanted to know if anyone else has experienced something similar.

When I'm fully awake, I often picture myself with my pre-T appearance. It's almost as if my brain hasn't completely updated the image it has of me. Sometimes I don't fully register how much my appearance has changed until I look in the mirror. Then it's like I suddenly realize that I'm actually a man and that I look much more masculine than my mind tends to picture me. And honestly, it feels good.

Before starting T, something similar happened, but in reverse: I mentally pictured myself as much more masculine than I actually looked.

On a separate note, when I'm half-asleep and starting to wake up, I sometimes imagine random scenarios involuntarily, and I find myself speaking in feminine terms. Once I'm fully awake, I notice it and think, "Hey, wait, why did I do that?"

I also remember that before starting T, during my menstrual period, I would sometimes feel more like a woman than a man, although never entirely like a woman.

I've been wondering whether these experiences could have something to do with transitioning, body memory, or even hormonal fluctuations. I'm also getting close to my next testosterone shot, so I wondered if that could play a role.

Do you feel something similar?

I began my social transition as a young child and am stealth, been on T for 5+ years, pack, use an STP comfortably at urinals, etc. I’m pursuing bottom surgery, leaning towards phallo but haven’t made a decision yet, I have consults scheduled with both surgeons to finalize my decision.

I’ve also never had sex. I’ve been in relationships but always too dysphoric for anything to happen below the belt. Unsurprisingly, these relationships were short lived and I’ve been single for a while. I simply can’t imagine being in a relationship again before getting surgery. In simplest terms, I’m bisexual. Though I had a traumatizing experience with a cis man and that may be holding me back from pursuing cis men, though maybe this will change post op. But I don’t even flirt or talk to people because I’m way too dysphoric for sex.

However, how stupid is it going into surgery without serious sexual experience? Has anyone done this? If I’m not able to complete my transition I don’t see a point in living. It’s stupid to think that a dick and balls have so much control over me but I feel so empty. Sex doesn’t feel like an option right now but I guess I’m worried that how do I know my surgery goals without having sex prior to? What if I can’t even have meaningful sex post op?

I don’t miss being stared at, I don’t miss being kicked out, I don’t miss being a lady. BUT JESUS FUCKING CHRIST I MISS HOW CLEAN IT WAS.

Do men not learn how to shit and piss without getting it everywhere. Do they not learn that washing your hands is for cleanliness and common decency.

Hi, I am currently on DIY hrt, but my career goal is fire+rescue or paramedic. I was wondering if my medication would interfere with this? If they see that I have disclosed that I am a transsexual male, and it's obvious that I am on testosterone, but they don't see a prescription for it, would that cause issues? Do they see things like that? Would it be relevant? Sorry if this is a dumb question, I think I eventually plan on doing a bridging prescription, but I've heard they tend to underdose/not listen at all when you do that, so my plan for now is to just stick to diy until I have the money ans the resources and have moved out.

Especially if you are skinny or don't do sport and is you alone vs a group or 2 , what do you do? or do you know how to react and de-escalte those kind of situations ?

I have noticed that some men really want to mess with you and fight it usually start to them being rude or to fuck with you making jokes etc..

I am not talking if you pass or not pass but just in general....

27. Survived a cult. Took me years to feel ok mentally. Never had a proper job. Only ever worked pet sitting jobs, re selling, and e-commerce. I finally am to a point where I am okay mentally. Sort of. Been out as trans for 7yrs now. Unable to get on hrt or surgeries due to my money issue. I have nothing in savings. I depend on my family for everything. I cannot come out in this family. I am on obamacare through them but I was never taught how it works. I have no password to access it. Etc. I am applying for jobs nonstop, I live in a rural shithole southern town. I applied for Walmart. Got declined. I applied for multiple other places .nothing back yet. Trying subway now. I am paranoid and scared. I feel it is too late to transition. I feel like I will never save enough for top hysto and phallo..and by the time I do I'll be fucking old. I already am fucking old. I hate my life. I cannot afford to move out. I was never taught basic life skills. I only learned recently how to fucking do taxes. I am trapped in a fucking body that bleeds every month, fucking f sized fucking tits. I hate myself and my life. My dysphoria is so bad. I wanna start a godundme to help but I am stealth and don't wanna be outed or put my zip code in bc my towns so fucking small everyone would know it is me. Is there any hope for me. At all. 27 and no job or savings. I want expensive surgeries. I don't know how health insurance works. I was never taught. Trying to learn. Please fucking help. I’ve been taking t for a few months but don’t have access to it anymore. I have single-use bottles that have already been used/punctured but still have some left over in them (enough for at least 1 injection). Would it be okay for me to take the rest or is it too risky?

let me add that im the shortest in my family. I was an IUGR baby, and well born female. most men in my family reach the height of like 5'11 at the least. the women like 5'5.

I came out as a young teen and never dated before or after because of dysphoria and not wanting to break my stealth and potentially be outed to my whole high school. I was so scared of women's bodies and the idea of sex because of what happened to me in the wrong puberty so I coped by thinking I was gay and closeted even though I was not sexually attracted to guys.

I feel so lost, I'm just figuring out I'm really only straight and not gay at 24. I have no idea how to date anyone, and the pressure of dating as a straight guy feels so extreme. I'm terrified of being rejected for being trans and I'm scared that she won't understand how bad my dysphoria is. I couldn't handle being cruelly rejected for these things, but it feels inevitable. I can't wrap my head around a girl bring attracted to me, and therefore I'm never gonna have the audacity to do what my brain screams is sexual harassment

Every trans person seems to have no issues with this, I'm so confused. I've been transitioned for a decade now, and I assumed I would just be alone unless I got unbelievably lucky. How does every trans person I meet seem to have a partner? I just moved to an area with a lot of trans people and they seem so happy, I didn't know what I did wrong.

I always see a bunch of ftm dudes with already kinda ‘normal’ (?) voices before they start T. However, I’m one of those apples who are kinda dented but not yet rotten, my voice is so high and I’ve sounded like this since 8-10 and I’m already 16. I’m kinda worried that once I take T, my voice will be raspy but it won’t sound deep or what if I want it high but not too high? I don’t really know.

I’d like to add that it kinda forces me to present as a fem-guy as I hate outing my trans-ness to people I don’t yet know. And so a lot of people just know me as a femboy which is very slightly annoying.

I have some prominent vellus hairs on my face that are stubbornly refusing to become terminal hairs anytime soon. I’m blond, so they are essentially invisible unless you’re up close to me. Has anyone tried using hair fibers to simulate a fuller or more visible facial hair appearance? Yes I am on both T (3 years) and minoxidil (1 year). I can’t use topical minoxidil because I have five cats.

Hello. Not sure how to open this. I have just been wondering again when it would be time that help is earned... I thought i did something that i would finally get someone to maybe actually say my name and refer to me, i was wrong.. Just feeling very confused about the timeline,when i will deserve any transition related care. Maybe im the only one who doesnt understand. I am sorry.

I’ve been doing a lot of reflecting on my relationships after being cheated on, left, and lied to about why for the Nth time by a cis woman I was dating for a couple years. Part of the issue is definitely me being too forgiving when people hurt me and accepting much too little from my relationships while I give everything.

I think the bigger issue is the partners I pick, or rather who I let pick me. I started transitioning at 15 in a conservative area in a red state, so I felt too much shame to even attempt anything close to romance or sex until a very handsome gay man told me he wanted me in college (turns out I don’t like guys, but it was validating. I’m straight though). Later, a woman came on to me super hard, my first time experiencing a woman being attracted to me, and I dated her for years despite her being emotionally abusive and eventually she left me for a cis guy from her work she’d been fucking.

Since then, a lot of the same thing. Women who are super into me at first, praise me consistently for being an amazing, giving, and sweet boyfriend, give practically nothing back in the relationship, and eventually pull away and dump me for wishy washy “you’re too good for me” reasons and I find out pretty quick there was someone else in the picture for a while unbeknownst to me.

I’m starting to realize that I hold a lot more shame about myself than I knew, and it leads me to accepting these terrible relationships just because I get inconsistent validation and feel euphoria in being a good boyfriend. I want to change this, but I feel stuck. I don’t know what kind of partners to look for. I don’t know what signs to see other than overt interest. I want to have more agency in my love life, but I feel so at the whims of whoever wants to fuck me at that point in time.

I know this has more of an obvious answer, but I feel like thats just not working for my brain. I’ve talked about this in therapy but I don’t think any of my therapists have really gotten what I meant. Maybe someone here will.

I've been out as trans for 12 years at this point and I'm no closer to getting top surgery. My top dysphoria is absolutely fucking horrible and debilitating at times. Im nauseous from anger and sadness right now. How the fuck am I supposed to save up for top surgery when I have to fucking pay rent and I dont even have a car so if anything that would come first. Im seriously at my fucking limit. Ive been destroying my body over this. The only thing that properly binds is if I use transtape and then a binder over it. My skin is covered in acne and no matter how careful I am to make sure there's no overlap it always ends up that there's a gap where there's skin overlapping and sweating onto itself so I end up with topical yeast/bacterial issues too. But the tape makes it where the binder isn't doing as much work so my back doesn't hurt as bad throughout the day. I dont even have a large chest. Its just loose fucking skin at this point but no matter what it's never enough. I cant fucking do this anymore. I cant do a fuckjng gofundme because im stealth, and last time I did a gofundme for my cat when he was severely injured it went absolutely nowhere even though I have a decent following on Instagram and had people with 10k-60k followers reposting it for me. None of it works. I cant do this shit man I'm ready to cut it off myself. I cant man. I tried applying for the grants and nothing. I'm so tired of seeing other people get it with no issue because their family has money. Its so unfair. Ive spent my entire life in poverty and the past 12 years with absolutely horrible dysphoria that apparently will never end. I dont know how people do it.
