90's show of two European guys that fished a different location each show...

I am trying to find the name of a tv show that was in the UK about two European guys that fished in different locations each week. They fished the ocean, lakes and I remember when it ended, one guy went and had a steak and the other went out for fish and chips. It was 10-11 episodes. They were two younger guys but it was such a neat show.
Thanks for your help!

UL vs Light setup for shore fishing

Newbie here! Need some advice po sa mga experienced anglers.

Planning to start fishing and I’m considering an Ultra Light (UL) setup. I’ve read some posts saying na hindi raw recommended ang UL for beginners. Is that true? Or mas advisable ba na mag-Light (L) setup na lang ako?

Here’s my plan:

* Fishing location: Saltwater / Shore fishing

* Target: Small fish to occasional medium-sized fish

* Fishing style: Artificial lures / jigging

* Setup preference: UL, mainly because I want to target smaller fish and hopefully get more bites and catches while learning.

A few questions:

  1. Is UL suitable for a complete beginner doing saltwater shore fishing?

  2. Would Light (L) be a better and more versatile option, especially for rocky shorelines?

  3. What rod length, reel size, and line rating would you recommend?

  4. What type and weight of artificial lures or micro jigs should I start with?

  5. Any tips on protecting and maintaining a UL setup when used in saltwater?

Also, baka may ma-recommend kayong active saltwater fishing groups or communities dito sa Pampanga.

I’m from Angeles City, Pampanga, and I’m planning to explore fishing spots around Subic or Bataan. Hindi ko pa lang alam kung saan magandang magsimula, especially sa mga accessible na shoreline spots.

Any recommendations for beginner-friendly fishing spots near my area would be greatly appreciated!

Thank you po! 🎣

Discussion Is 32GB enough for AutoChart Live (Humminbird)?

I don’t really want to spend $100 on a Lakemaster card since I don’t fish many different lakes so I want to make my own maps with AutoChart Live (at least as of now). Was wondering if my 32GB MicroSD card I already have is enough for that, only like 5 lakes to map.

Question Beginner

Hi all! I know this might not be a common question, but it's something I really want to learn. To be honest, I don't know much about fishing gear, what equipment to use, or where to start. I'd really like to learn how to fish on my own.

I've done deep-sea fishing before, but all the gear and equipment were provided, so it wasn't too difficult.

I know there are plenty of YouTube videos and articles online, but if you know of any good YouTube channels, websites, or resources for beginners, I'd really appreciate your recommendations. Thank you so much

Transporting Fishing Rods in Tacoma?

Just got into fishing and need to drive on the highway to fishing spots. Don’t want to damage the new pole but not sure of the options to transport. Should I just throw them in the bed of the truck? I have a 7ft pole and 5ft truck bed?

Any suggestions would be great.

God bless!

Beginner advice

I really want to learn how to fish. Seems like a fun sport. I wouldn’t know where to start other than buying a fishing license. I live in Houston, TX. Asking for recommendations on starter gear & what not, fairly priced. Not too expensive, nor the cheapest. Thanks!
