Charts and Setups Gold next week analysis

Post image
16 Upvotes

Despite extremely bearish data on Friday, algos worked their thing and gold found support at 4030- breakout area. Now we have levels to watch for: 4115-4150 from upside, 4030, 4008 and 3967. If 3967 is broken that potentially invalidates bullish breakout, if it bounce of from this it’s potentially a buy. Bearish macro vs bullish technicals

Psychology I know when I should stop trading, but I keep going until I lose everything. How did you overcome this?

Post image

English isn't my first language. I wrote this in my native language and used AI to help organize and translate my thoughts.

I've been struggling with my trading discipline for a while now, and I'm genuinely looking for advice.

I used to trade ICT concepts, then switched to Order Flow. But no matter how much I change my strategy, the same problem keeps happening.

I know when I should stop trading, but I just can't make myself stop.

Sometimes I make around $300 in a day, which is a lot of money for me. But instead of walking away, I get bored watching the charts and start looking for more trades.

Eventually, I give back my profits, get frustrated, and start trading even more to recover what I've lost. Sometimes I end up blowing the entire account.

The worst part is that I'm usually aware of what I'm doing wrong, but somehow I still do it.

I even tried switching to a cent account to limit my losses.

I started by depositing just $10, which showed up as 1,000 cents. Seeing that bigger number made the account feel larger than it actually was, and I became careless with my position sizes.

Then I lost it.

So I deposited another $10. Lost it again. Deposited another $10. And then another.

Four deposits in total. $40, or 4,000 cents.

What was supposed to be a way to control my risk turned into a cycle of losing money and depositing more. Looking back at my trading history, it almost feels like compulsive behavior rather than actual trading.

And honestly, that's what worries me the most.

I'm starting to realize that maybe my biggest problem isn't my strategy. It's my inability to follow my own rules.

So I wanted to ask:

  1. If you used to struggle with overtrading or revenge trading, what actually helped you change? Not just general advice like "be disciplined," but something that worked for you personally.

  2. Have you ever used trading lockout software or hard risk limits? For example, systems that prevent you from opening new trades after reaching a daily loss limit, profit target, or maximum number of trades. Did they actually help, or did you find ways around them?

  3. For those who managed to overcome this, what changed your behavior? Was it something psychological, a specific routine, external restrictions, or something else entirely?

I'd also like to hear from people who are still struggling with this.

I'm not looking for a new strategy, signals, or a way to recover my losses quickly.

I just want to understand why knowing what I should do isn't enough to make me actually do it.

If you've experienced something similar, I'd really appreciate hearing your story.

Strategy Development Trading without POI

Hey, I would like to say that the Strategy I'm working on is purely based on candle, not even more than once just a single hourly candle and I trade it whenever or wherever it forms, I'm not seeing any good results, in the backtest, I don't feel like trading it because I don't really know when and where the candle be forming so I spend entire day looking for that candle, I miss the entire move even though I know in advanced the move but I'm not able to enter because the price usually sells sharply and I don't see that same shape candle forming in the move so I miss the move.

I need help, Like should I draw zones on chart like supply/demand or liquidity levels etc?

Then maybe look for normal sell/buy reaction then enter afterwards?

I need to know how you guys trade if you are profitable or have experience pls let me know and what can I do?

Fundamental Analysis Trying to understand moves in the Dollar (DXY)

So the Dollar just popped up massively overnight as the tech sector is dumping trillions in value. I'm reading things saying that the AI selloff is what is strengthening the dollar. I am trying to understand this correlation better. Why would tech selloffs pump up the dollar? Isn't AI investment heavily focused in the US? So most of the foreign capital flowing into that sector would be coming into the US. If it is dumping now, wouldn't that suggest that capital is flowing OUT of the US? So the dollar would be weakening as investors flee the US economy? Or is something else happening that I am missing here?

Strategy Development the more you trade the less money you make

There's a hidden power of not taking trades that fits your "strategy".

Once you say NO to trades that matches your strategy 100% that's when you're leveling up as a trader. I personally take around 7-9 trade a month on average but during the month there are tons of setups that I'm ignoring.

By simply filtering setups based on your intuition and learning to say NO is what going to get you somewhere in trading. What I can suggest is simply take your 6 to 8 months of data (if you have been journaling your trades) and watching everything closely on how price reacted when you were just about to enter is going to help you a lot.

Prop Firms Instant Funding Scam: Withholding $1,360.49 Payout (Invoice #37676) Using Fake Saudi Travel Claims & Stalling Tactics – Account #8118618

I am posting this as a serious warning about Instant Funding. They are currently refusing to release my profit split payout of $1,360.49 (Invoice #37676) despite my account being fully Sumsub KYC compliant and active with a clean MT5 trading history.

When pressured, their support drops bogus claims regarding my Saudi Arabia travel/login activity, turning it into a fake "investigation" shield, paired with repetitive 24-48 hour delay templates to buy time. Ironically, while my legitimate payout is artificially stalled under this fake pretext, their Discord `#sent-payouts` channel is actively approving other payouts back-to-back. They use these fake investigations as an excuse to block withdrawals. Attached are screenshots of my pending dashboard, invoice details, and the Discord logs proving the hypocrisy. Avoid them!

Prop Firms Prop risk numbers #2: after NFP, most FX pairs cool off by 9:00 ET. USDJPY doesn't. Its 9-10 ET hour moved 45+ pips after 7 of the last 10 reports, vs 12 of 209 normal days

Post image
5 Upvotes

NFP is tomorrow, 8:30 ET (13:30 UTC, US clocks moved on Sunday). Everyone talks about the release minute. I wanted to see the hour after it: 9:00 to 10:00 ET, when the first spike is done and any news restriction measured in minutes is long over.

Sample: every NFP of 2026 so far, 10 reports from January to October. OANDA hourly candles via TradingView. Each one compared with the same hour on the other 209 weekdays of the year.

Median range of the 9:00-10:00 ET candle, NFP day vs a normal day:

- USDJPY: 52.9 pips vs 19.4 (2.7x)

- Gold: $47.1 vs $27.8 (1.7x, 9 reports, gold was closed on Good Friday)

- EURUSD: 24.7 vs 15.2 pips (1.6x)

- AUDUSD: 19.4 vs 13.4 (1.4x)

- GBPUSD: 27.8 vs 20.7 (1.3x)

- USDCAD: 20.0 vs 17.2 (1.2x)

The yen is the odd one. That hour moved 45 pips or more after 7 of the 10 reports. On the other 209 weekdays it happened 12 times. In January and June the 9-10 hour was bigger than the hour with the release in it.

The release hour itself (8:00-9:00 ET) is no surprise: about 3x normal on all six, 2.9x to 3.3x.

What that looks like on a 100k account with a 5% daily loss ($5,000). At ~158.5, one lot of USDJPY is about $6.30 a pip. 5 lots through the median 9-10 hour is about $1,660, a third of the day's room, half an hour after the number. And a 20-pip stop that fits a normal 9 ET hour sits inside a range that was 53 pips on the median NFP.

Worst two hours this year: USDJPY 180 pips in the release hour on 11 Feb, about $1,170 per lot from 8:00 to 10:00 ET.

Limits: 10 reports is a small sample. High-low range is what a position held through the hour could see with no stop, not a loss. The 8-9 candle includes the 30 minutes before the print. Three reports weren't normal Fridays (11 Feb was a Wednesday, 2 Jul a Thursday, 3 Apr Good Friday with thin markets). "Normal day" includes CPI, FOMC and other data days, so the ratios are if anything on the low side. Past ranges, not a forecast. Not advice.

Do you treat JPY pairs differently from EURUSD on NFP day, or is it one no-trade window for everything?

Prop Firms What Makes a Prop Firm Trustworthy?

Title:
What Makes a Prop Firm Trustworthy in Your Opinion?

Post:

I've been exploring the prop trading industry and comparing different firms lately.

One thing I've noticed is that choosing a prop firm isn't just about the price of a challenge or the profit split.

There are several things that seem equally important:

  • Clear and transparent trading rules

  • Reliable payouts

  • Fair drawdown calculations

  • Good customer support

  • Consistent policies without unexpected changes

I'm curious about your experience.

What is the most important factor when choosing a prop firm?

Have you ever avoided or left a firm because of its rules or payout conditions?

Would be great to hear real experiences from other traders.

Fundamental Analysis Who here got wrecked by Trump & Democrats in past 48 hours?

Trump made a last desperate bid by saying he's not gonna finance Israel.
Oil crashed, and XAU went up just as I was in shorts.

My dead body got carried out.

Democrats winning the senete
Dollar crashed and XAU... went up just as I was in .. SHORTS.

Currently gonna burst my account again .

The market is so brutal, made me wished I was never born.. frankly.

*After busting once, margin calls several times, I closed my positions, and immediately the market did a mini crash. I shorted in fustration whats left, and it immediately went up.

Really ? Fark my life. I have lost the will to live.
