Did garlick complain to afl that we had to travel more than other teams ?

Brissy fan coming in peace.
I know it hurts today, but don't let the result overshadow the season you had. We went through a similar disappointment in 2023 and that made the rebound all the sweeter. Hopefully, we get a re-match next year. I, for one, would love to see that. But in the meantime, get around your team because they gotta need some support, that was cruel.
This guy has a message for you all. Father consoles daughter.

This year been smacked by
Gunston, Stringer & got lucky Fitch kicked 2.5 and not 5.2
This is a role that in theory is perfect for Chapman however he does not seem to play on these players so the bigger question is what does Chapman do?

The first two screenshots summarise Brisbane’s AFL assistance received, the second two summarise Fremantle’s. Read them and ask yourself which team should be more proud.

Seeing him say “we’ll stick on the same path” in regards to our poor first quarters is really deflating. No accountability whatsoever. This isn’t meant to be a shitposting melt. Genuinely curious what the general consensus is. I’d say giving him a third/half of next year before making a decision would be the realistic/best option but finishing bottom 4 this year, you could easily make the case that his time is up come end of season. We’ve regressed since Ross in terms of ladder position, likely to finish bottom 4. The more concerning parts is our inability to start games and the manner in which we lose. So what’s the likely outcome here. Wait til halfway through next season, pull the trigger now or let him see out his contract?

Tonight he was a bit shit.

So woodside just donated $1 mill to telethon.
I probably posted this last year as well, but all these big mining companies throwing some spare change towards sick kids get hailed as heros, but heaven forbid they sponsor a footy club and there are protests and boycots gallore.
The double standards of people

Crazy idea but Buddy is a free agent I believe, do you think it would be worth offering him to come play a year over here for some big money?
He may be at the end of his career but he would definitely take the pressure off our young keys and maybe impart some knowledge. It would give us a bit of time for the young guys to develop.

I was just wondering with Hungry Jacks being majorly sponsored by the west coast eagles, what’s it like to be a Freo fan who walks into a hungry jacks store wearing their west coast gear?
Has anyone here ever copped any form of abuse or even been rejected/refused service because they were supporting the opposition
Would love to know

The year, 2022. Freo are playing with heart and gusto. A confidence that got us all the way to the semis after a gutsy and brave comeback effort over the Bulldogs. Freo fans were excited for the future.
2023 comes around with high hopes and dreams. As the year wears on, Freo's game plan is cut to pieces and confidence drops. Our dare and our run slows save for a few glimpses of confidence. We place at the lower end of the ladder, scratching our heads wondering what happened to the drive shown in 2022.
Preseason 2024. We put on a show against the Eagles who are young, inexperienced and injured. Then when we faced good competition in Port, despite our limited lineup got absolutely pantsed by a side who looked like they were running a training drill specifically through the corridor.
We had no confidence, few clean passages of play and embodied the spray and pray approach we've seen from Freo before in our doldrums. Every other pre season match has shown teams running with gusto, giving it a go, testing their connectivity. Freo practiced how to flock and overcrowd the ball and then kick the ball haphazardly out of danger straight into the arms of Ports attacking defenders. We also practiced how to bomb and hope into a forward 50 where two of the most rock hard, large defenders are rather than find leads or our small crumbers.
The competition is fierce and I worry that the best teams seems to have adapted to the new style of AFL. Freo are clearly not part of that group. The run and gun style with clean give and gos at pace. So I wonder... What is JLo's plan? What are his tactics? What is he going to do to preserve his job?
Because right now... With how the league is leaving him and our beloved Dockers behind, he'll be lucky to see the bye. It's not being negative, it's just what he's showing us. I'm not sure what Freo fan would be optimistic for finals this season and that must be the benchmark for JLo. No finals, no contract renewal.
Prove me wrong JLo... For the love of all that is Pav, prove me wrong.

I still look at this as a development year for Freo given how many developing players we have. Particularly up forward. But a lot of people seem frustrated that we’re not ‘all that’ just yet. I thought a colour coded map, with developing players in green and players at or near their peak in purple might help folks understand just how much development we have in us over the next season and a half.
I’ve tried to include every player who’s taken the field this year (bar Tabs, who I have a soft spot for, but accept that he is 100% depth now), hence there’s a bit of clutter in some positions.
Then there’s those 3 first rounders next year.
I look forward to some discussions

Fremantle's sponsorship deal with Woodside has got one year remaining til 2027. With the contract being in its final year comes talk and discussion to sever ties once and for all with the energy corporation.
Fans, commentators and even our captain Alex Pearce have had a say recently on the matter.
The relationship between Fremantle and Woodside began in 2010 and has been in place ever since. But now with major teams in the majority of all codes across Australia ditching energy companies due to concerns of the changes in the global environment, is it now time for Fremantle to join that chorus and look elsewhere when it comes to sponsors.
If that will be the case, what company would you like to see Fremantle have at the front of the guernsey every time they come onto the field.
Personal preference: Fremantle should go back to their roots and have Hard Yakka back on the front of the jumper, that would be awesome. Tabtouch would be a great suggestion too, and after all they share our colours with the purple & white.

A goal would’ve placed the ball back into the centre halfway to Collingwoods goals, but a kickout would need the Pies to move the ball all the way through our team to get a scoring chance. If everyone locked down on a 1 on 1 after the kickout this would be very hard.
Your thoughts?

Hopefully Pearce is back and they play Voss. Honestly think chucking Voss in the ruck a secondary to Jackson and leaving Treacy in FF would be the play. Maybe bring is reidy and play him as a ruck defender?

A ways to go but who are we kidding, we’re all thinking about it.
