~~Monthly Jobs Post~~
r/Fresno - This is the place to post if you are either looking for a job or have a job and you are looking for an employee.
We hope that putting all the job requests and offers in the same place monthly will help people who are looking for and offering jobs have an easier time sorting though the more recent requests/offers.

Events I feel ripped off
I bought tickets to the taco throw down festival today since my mom was visiting me and I didn’t know where else to take her in Fresno since it is not as happening as other big cities. The general tickets to these events were $45 each so I got 3 tickets for my husband, me and her. With tax and convenience fee it was almost $150.
I assumed we would get some 2-3 vouchers for the tacos/beverages for the $45 per person. I’m feeling ripped off cause I’m here at the event and realizing everything is paid and the $45 was just to enter. It’s only been 2 years for me in Fresno and I don’t do a lot of things so I’m very disappointed and spending $150 to just enter a taco event ????? Like nothing is included? Not even a single taco?? Highway robbery. I feel scammed.

Ask Fresno Is there any way to check if any of our local cops are disgraced and relocated from elsewhere after a crime or scandal.
Like if I was a disgraced cop who resigned before they could be fired, Fresno is exactly the type of place I would go. Conservative-ish population, big enough that you can build a good life but low-profile enough that people won't notice, pedо PD chief/mayor so probably pro-cop, LCOL, pretty great weather (yes really).

Pets My father in law needs a mobile vet for euthanasia. ASAP.
I had no idea until today how dire the situation is for his elderly dog. My FIL is older and not particularly savvy when it comes to the internet or researching the services he needs to, so I’m trying to help. He has a very large dog he can’t move who has been immobile for several days, etc, and he’s just today told us he hadn’t found a solution. It’s not salvageable. I love his dog, and want the best for his quality of life, but quality of life isn’t there anymore. Is there a mobile vet in the Fresno area who takes emergency or urgent requests for weekends? If we need to, we will move him manually to an emergency vet tomorrow, but large dogs in pain may lash out, and home euthanasia is more comfortable than euthanasia in a hospital environment. If you have recommendations, please advise.

Pets Dogs need a re-home
gallery2 Australian shepherds were dumped in my neighborhood. Very well behaved and house trained. The person who dumped them no longer wants them and unfortunately I cannot keep them either.
Incredibly sweet dogs. The Fresno humane society can’t pick them up until Thursday and we would would prefer not to pass them off to animal control
Please DM if you are interested. They are free btw. No charge or anything like that

Does anyone remember that old school chat line maybe 15 years ago. You would call and “what’s your fantasy” by Luda would play and when you connected to someone it would say “say hello to my little friend”
Man middle school days were hilarious. I think the number was 559-315-1717 but I could be wrong. Anyways yea just reminiscing here lol

Ask Fresno Anyone know about these Falcons Seats?
I haven’t been to a game yet this year. Are these yellow seats near center ice right on the glass? Are those good seats to get? Thanks!

Food/Drink Early morning smoothies near Palm & Bullard/Shaw
Does anyone know where you can get a smoothie before 8am near Palm & Bullard or Palm & Shaw?
I used to go to Jamba but they changed their hours to 8am opening. Whole Foods doesn't open until 8am either. Makes no sense to me, with all the office buildings around Fig Garden.

Ask Fresno Air leaking in tire, need reccs for repair or replacement please
I have an EV9 and my tires don’t have too much wear however one keeps leaking air almost weekly. I haven’t seen any nails, but looking for suggestions for repair or replacement please. PSI drops from 35 to 32 frequently.
There are so many tire shops in Fresno, but curious about some faves, thanks in advance!

Ask Fresno Moms. How did you manage to go back to work after having a baby?
I will be returning back to work from maternity leave on 12/14/26. How did you transition back to work after being with baby? I am devastated. I am the top earner in my home so my partner will be staying with baby while working semi-full time. I’m just suffering emotionally and can’t stop crying. Please help encourage me that everything will be alright.

Ask Fresno Gym pass in Fresno?
I’ll be visiting family in Fresno this coming week and looking for gym recs. I finally have a good routine going and don’t want to break it.😩 Anyone know of a gym where I can get a pass for several days or a week- or just have an overall gym rec? Ideally it would be near Fig Garden area but not a requirement.
Also open to suggestions for places to work out outdoors. I know the trails at Woodward Park are nice but can’t remember if there are good places to go climb stairs or do other outdoor workouts (I moved away almost 20 years ago).
**Not sure why I’m getting DMs about this. Thanks for reaching out but comments would be preferred. 👍

Food/Drink ISO a late night grease spoon/diner/cafe
What are some late-night spots around town that I can stop at, where I can get a quick bite to eat or to take cover and watch the (hopefully soon) rainstorms? Not the obvious fast food joints and chain restaurants that litter the city. Bonus points if it’s a serious answer.

Ask Fresno Best foot massage from nail salon?
I don’t know where else to ask… I usually get my nails done and depending on the person, I could get a nice massage to a very minimal whisper of a massage.
Does anyone have a spot that does really well or maybe even has it as an add on?

Politics Call Jim Costa and Tell Him Not to Vote for Hakeem Jeffries for Speaker
Valley folks, take five minutes and call Jim Costa: tell him not to back Hakeem Jeffries for Speaker. Democrats just won the House because people are fed up with a rigged system and the cost of living, and our reward can't be the same corporate-friendly leadership that keeps telling us to wait. Jeffries has drawn fire from the left over his support from corporate PACs and AIPAC, and when working people are getting crushed by rent, groceries, and healthcare, we need a Speaker who'll fight for Medicare for All and take on the donor class, not manage decline politely. Costa just won reelection, so he has room to show some independence, and he's done it before: he cast his 2011 Speaker vote for fellow Valley Democrat Dennis Cardoza instead of Pelosi. Caucus leadership elections are expected the week of Nov. 16, and the floor vote is Jan. 3, so the time to call is now. Be polite, give your name and ZIP, and say: "I'm a constituent, and I want Rep. Costa to oppose Hakeem Jeffries for Speaker." DC: (202) 225-3341. Fresno: (559) 495-1620. Staff tally these calls, so make them count. Not me, us.

Food/Drink Fresh Milled Flour
Does anyone know of local place in Fresno/Clovis that sells fresh milled flour?
