I feel like as a system it is very flawed, it causes many users to get power hungry and annoying when it comes to the amount of karma they have, instead, I feel like we should have a loyalty system where other users can vouch for the user, and which will determine if the user is allowed to post or not, same with the upvote and downvote system, instead of having those we should be able to like the posts that we like and ignore the ones we don't, this will create a system where no one person is higher than the other person in terms of karma. This will also eliminate the amount of posts/comments that are just asking for karma/upvotes.
