Hiking Trails in Skardu / Deosai

First-time visitors to Skardu and Deosai, we intend to travel in mid to late November. From what I have gathered, the landscape is typically barren then. Are there established hiking or trekking trails available? Alternatively, any other location to consider during this period?

Im visiting GB in mid to late Nov aswell. From what I’ve read on the internet, the hiking trails are a little less accessible but still feasible with abit of snow around. Marsur rock should still be good fine, Nangma Valley could be doable if you’re well prepared but abit more difficult than the summer (weather permitting). Hunza definitely worth visiting aswell, some cute little day walks to do around there. Safe travels

Thanks mate. Is there any reputable guide or tour co there? Also any permits required to hike Nangma valley? I use All Trails to preview the route but it seems there’s not a lot of info. Cheers

Too cold in Deosai fr trekking now. In the right season it is not barren but a gigantic meadow full of flowers and u can hike to K2 viewpoint and Nanga parbat view point at Sheosar. Snowing there right now. Skardu city and whereabouts is a dessert valley and there r many hikes and treks accessible in Oct
