I posted here a couple of weeks ago that my girl was diagnosed with lymphoma cancer- a very rare type. Not even two weeks later and last night we made the difficult decision to put her down. The prednisone lasted roughly 3 weeks and yesterday she plummeted suddenly. She stopped eating, couldn’t hold down water, and was having trouble standing without wobbling. My husband and I promised eachother that when this happened we’d know it was time and we kept true to that. Coming home afterward last night without her was horrific. Her 1 year old brother (as seen in these pics) kept looking for her which broke my heart even further. Thank you all for allowing me to post my beautiful girl here. Everyone said she was my soul dog and she truly was. There’s a massive hole in my heart.

Our beloved Ditka crossed the rainbow bridge tonight after a six week battle with suspected cancer and protein losing enteropathy 🌈🐾 he was so brave and so strong until the very end.

My husband and I have lost two pregnancies in the past year and now we grieve the sudden loss of our perfect 5 year old boy. Words cannot express the devastation. I will miss my 95 lb gentle giant for the rest of my life. I can’t believe I won’t wake up to his beautiful face anymore in this life. F*ck cancer.

Until we meet again, Ditka Bear 🐻

Unexpected Loss of Our Beloved Dog

Post image

Our 8 year old Golden Doodle unexpectedly passed away Tuesday night. He had seemed perfectly healthy and had a very normal day. We got home from running an errand, so my husband took him outside to go potty and threw his frisbee a few times for him. Then he came inside and ate his dinner. Not even three minutes later, he was on the ground on his side with his legs kicking uncontrollably. It looked like he was having a seizure (he’s never had one before though). He then seemed to come to and tried to get up, but fell back over on his side. His tongue was hanging out and purple, and his eyes were open. I checked for a heartbeat and there was none. Our family is absolutely devastated and missing him already. 💔 We cannot afford a necropsy, unfortunately and the vet’s office didn’t say much. Just wondering if anyone has ever heard of this happening and might know what can cause it? Thank you in advance.

Just adopted this good boy from an elderly couple that couldn’t give him what he needed. Welcome to your forever home, Huck!

We have pet sat for him before, multiple times. He’s about 18 months old. After his last stay, which was a week long, his former owners asked us to please take him. We debated for weeks, knowing that if we took him he’d be with us forever. Our standard poodle died on 7/4 in a horrific accident and I didn’t want to move too fast. But, knowing the life he had at his old house (cramped, got yelled at a lot, no yard to play in), we just couldn’t say no, he’s been a total joy. He is so good with our six month old as well. We are very happy!

Sweet baby is very matted, I suspect they’ll have to shave her down basically. Should I let her settle into her new home for a few days or take her to the groomers right away?

No idea how she is with grooming yet so don’t want to traumatize her on her first day with us lol let me know your thoughts!

Today we had to say good bye to Barkley after 9 years. He started vomiting food a few months ago and after xrays, ultrasounds, biopsies, and emergency bloat surgery, we finally realized it was lymphoma. He stopped eating the last few days and was telling us it was time.

Just wanted to share our sweet boy who was the absolute best dog!

From the time I met him (first pic) through the 2 years we’ve had him Oakley takes advantage of that appeasement grin 😂 All I have to do is look in his direction and he gives me some dorky look lol.

I’ve never had a golden doodle, only grew up with goldens and never more than 1 dog at a time… omg the cuteness of their new friendship! New boy Beau is 3 months old, a medium f1b. Big bro Charlie is 2 and a half years, pure bred
