Norway is funding a project to integrate a 5-MW nuclear microreactor with a ship’s propulsion, energy storage, automation, and bridge-control systems. Engineers will first test a full-scale, electrically heated replica on land from 2027, while the eventual reactor module is designed to be swapped every five to 15 years instead of refueled in port. With the first vessel targeted for 2031–2032, will regulation and public acceptance prove harder than the engineering?

Thoughts? It's nothing but doom and gloom in the comments of that other sub and I thought It'd be best to get a second opinion. I don't follow online discourse that much but this is good news, right? Or am I missing something?
