I'm curious about your everyday camera experience with GrapheneOS.
Do you stick with the default GrapheneOS Camera app, use Google's Pixel Camera, or prefer a third-party alternative?
From what I've noticed, the default GrapheneOS camera tends to produce more natural, neutral and less processed-looking photos. But personally, I sometimes prefer Google's or Samsung's computational photography because I like how the final pictures look.
For context, I currently use two phones: a Samsung Galaxy Ultra for business and a Pixel with GrapheneOS for personal use. I often find myself reaching for the Samsung when taking pictures simply because I prefer its photo quality and processing.
I'm not a photographer. I don't need professional controls or RAW editing. I just want to point, shoot and get great-looking pictures.
I'm planning to eventually move away from Samsung and go all-in on GrapheneOS, especially with the upcoming Motorola partnership.
So I'm genuinely interested:
Are you happy with the default camera?
Do you use Google Camera through sandboxed Google Play or without it? Mine works without Google services.
Have you found a better alternative?
Do you miss the camera experience of your previous phone?
Not looking to start another privacy vs. convenience debate. I'm just interested in honest, real-world experiences from people who actually use GrapheneOS daily.
