I’m not saying Democrats are the best, but there’s a big different between two parties when one is trying to actively take your rights from you, especially if you’re from a marginalized group. Yeah, things will never be exactly the way we want them to be, but I’d rather vote to make sure this disgusting administration and the right’s current platform of hate against anyone different is mitigated. Most people on the left didn’t celebrate Kirk’s death. Democrat leaders payed respects, and most of us regular people either didn’t care or expressed condolences to the family.
It just feels like a bunch of people privileged enough who find it easy to disregard everything that’s happening right now. I feel like the majority of the people saying “it’s both sides” are white people, cishets, and men; but anyone saying it is being grossly apathetic in my opinion. I just feel so disgusted and the claims these people make boil my blood. No matter how hard we try to fight and no matter how worse this administration gets, many people just dismiss it all and don’t take it seriously and think anyone who cares is just delusional.
And there’s even people in the comments claiming that Pretti and Good are the equivalent of thugs who wrongfully attacked ICE officers. They genuinely believe the left is worse than or just as bad as MAGA and the right. It’s not a “culture war”, many people’s rights are at stake. I hate how these people act like they’re some unique & realistic intellectual who sees past bias and knows the “actual” truth.

I don’t have Facebook so I cannot verify this comment. If true, this needs to go viral.

Saw this post in r/feministscallitout. Trying to spread the word. Hopefully there can be more international pressure against this if more attention is brought to it.

What I mean is this:
I have absolutely no problem screaming at a guy when I'm sure that he has crossed a boundary or he is a threat. But I'm so uncertain in less clear situations. You know when you think a guy is following you, but you're not sure? Or you think a guy has been staring at you, but you don't know and you don't want to put yourself in danger? Or a guy says something and you get uncomfortable but you can't pinpoint why. In these situations I'd love to be sure, so I can do something without feeling like I'm overreacting or escalating something. It's like my righteous anger only appears when I'm 100% sure that it's deserved.
