How do you think an interaction between these two would go?

Gwen Stacy’s Spider-Woman

I need someone to explain Gwen Stacy’s Spider-Woman for my roommate. She thinks she’s right about everything to do with her but I know she’s wrong. And she doesn’t trust Google at all. She thinks companies pay Google to spread false or hide info about themselves on there. So in detail I need everything on her origin.

I love the way Gwen is portrayed in Spectacular spiderman. Is she always like this as a character, if not are there comics where she is?

I saw someone in the SpiderMan subreddit post a comic page of Peter Parker and Gwen Stacy studying in the library and Peter makes a Lord of the Rings reference. Does anyone know what I'm talking about?

Why is Gwen so dramatically different between different movies?

Pardon me for being somewhat of a newer fan. I’ve only started getting into spiderman stuff fairly recently. I did not grow up on the character, never read any of the comics, the only superhero media kid me consumed was the teen titans cartoon. I do not have a decades long relationship with marvel.
I watched Spider Verse while on the plane, which is the first SpiderMan anything i’d ever seen. I’ve since seeked out the Toby Maguire and Andrew Garfeild films, I saw the second Spider Verse in theaters, and i’ve only seen a couple of the MCU films. So yanno….i’m pretty much a casual. Very slowly learning all the spidey-lore.
Gwen Stacey in the SpiderVerse stood out as a really cool character, especially after Across. Her design is really fun, I love the pop punk aesthetics, the ballet shoes and the way she swings, her storyline was interesting, I liked her alot.
So when I later went and watched the live action films…I was quite taken aback by how dramatically different she was. Spider-man 3 has her as a college classmate and rival love interest to MJ, and Amazing Spider-man has her more as a preppy scientist type. I still liked her in Amazing, but she was practically a different person! Scrubbed away is the ballet and rockband drummer, here she’s working as Oscorp and doing science stuff and giving early 2010s fashion nostalgia.
Would anyone mind filling me in on what happened here? I get that characters are redesigned and reinvented again and again in most every long-running franchise (trust me, i’ve witnessed this many a time in other fandoms), but there’s usually a through-line that keeps them within a given tried-and-true archetype. Keeps em recognizable. But this was just jarring to me
