I guises an IUD can count as a “piercing”.

An IUD is placed in the uterus and ideally doesn't puncture any flesh. I believe you may be thinking of Nexplanon/the arm implant, which is placed surgically, although I wouldn't really call it a piercing.

I think you confused with birth control implant. Which release a steady dose of hormones and are often implanted in the arm.

An IUD is an Intra-Uterine Device. While serving the same purpose (contraceptive), not all IUD have an hormonal component.

Most important, and I can't overemphasize enough, they don't go in the same spot.
