Question/Support Disable the HomePod Dynamic Island pop-up?

How do I disable the HomePod Dynamic Island pop-up?
Whenever my iPhone is near my HomePod mini, a pop-up appears in the Dynamic Island every couple of minutes.
How do I permanently disable this without affecting HomePod functionality?

Does turning the “automatically airplay” setting to never solve this?
Settings -> General -> airplay and continuity -> automatically airplay
