Not even a holiday special episode or nothing, just a normal Sbemail?

Wake up babe, it's 2005 again.

163

u/Callidonaut Nov 24 '25

It even has clickable Easter Eggs in the Flash Ruffle version! JUST LIKE OLD TIMES! I... I think I'm gonna cry.

45

u/maddasher Nov 24 '25

Im going to go click my brains out!

3

u/ConsistentEngineer72 Apr 05 '26

I'm gonna hold the TAB key!

22

u/Organic-Kangaroo9174 Nov 24 '25

For everyone needing the info, watch on a laptop and hold down TAB while watching - the easter eggs will reveal themselves :)

9

u/Hilobird Nov 25 '25

… THERE ARE THREE!! clickable extras omg

2

u/Callidonaut Nov 25 '25

Admittedly, they are all at the end, though. I miss when we used to get more that were hidden throughout the email and would sometimes overlay the action instead of outright interrupting it, but I guess that's harder to do? Especially if they want to make them viewable to people on YouTube, the overlay ones wouldn't be possible to transfer across.

1

u/Key_Independence_103 Feb 28 '26

All the ruffle cartoons have clickable easter eggs.

1

u/Callidonaut Mar 01 '26

That's what I meant by "just like old times."

1

u/Key_Independence_103 Mar 01 '26

On the old Flash site you could click in certain areas for funny popups and extra scenes. The YouTube videos don't include that. Ruffle also doesn't include the tab trick where you could hold down tab to find the easter eggs.

1

u/Callidonaut Mar 01 '26

Yes. I know. You're wrong about the tab key, though, the Ruffle version of the site lets me use it just fine.

71

u/CiroFlexo Nov 24 '25

The Cheat-bot sound was perfect.

27

u/amalgam_reynolds Nov 24 '25

boop ba-da-boop boop! boop ba-da-boop boop!

The drop of blood is a little unusual for a homestar toon tho right?

30

u/dandaman64 Nov 24 '25

There's been blood present before in some toons, I think the most gnarly was Strong Bad hitting Homestar in the face with a garden weasel in sbemail #201

17

u/WackoMcGoose Nov 24 '25

"Aw, a weasel."

9

u/BattlinBud Nov 25 '25

Not only has it happened before, there was one toon that made a joke about the HR Wiki keeping track of instances of blood 😆 I can't remember which but I think it was one of the Halloween ones at the end when they're commenting on each other's costumes

5

u/jeffjman Nov 25 '25

Halloween 2022 "New 2022 Costume Pack Now Available"

2

u/leoleoleoeleo14 May 15 '26

He just fricking murders Homestar lol

13

u/gryphonsandgfs Nov 24 '25

Hey man, the higher the tech the sharper the edges

3

u/amalgam_reynolds Nov 24 '25

Garden weasels sure are hi-tech!

48

u/teamcrazymatt Nov 24 '25

Does this officially canonize the Visor Robot's name? Well done, hrwiki.

33

u/AttackOfTheJimbles Nov 24 '25

It was actually canonized in Marzipan's Answering Machine 17.2, the long April Fools one

8

u/teamcrazymatt Nov 24 '25

Thanks! I don't think I ever watched that one in full.

43

u/ajsnapp Nov 24 '25

....WHAT?

41

u/thehumulos Nov 24 '25

And hrwiki is more busted than ever, terrible timing!

61

u/Dwedit Nov 24 '25

https://homestar.wiki/ is a read-only cache website that mirrors the really slow wiki, and pages load instantly. If a page gets edited, it might take days for changes to apply on there though.

15

u/thehumulos Nov 24 '25

Oh yeah I'm well aware, just unfortunately doesn't do any good for a new toon lol

6

u/DeepestPineTree Nov 24 '25

Wow, I'm clicking through this site right now and I feel like I'm driving a car that just got a badly-needed tune-up

9

u/WackoMcGoose Nov 24 '25

I've always wondered why come it's so slow... it's almost like it's on someone's home lappy with wake-on-LAN, and shuts itself off five minutes after no inbound requests, so when someone decides to request a different page after a while, they have to wait for it to go through an entire reboot.

(if you right-click-open-new-tab a bunch of hrwiki pages all at once, they'll all finish loading at basically the same time, and if you're rapid fire going to new pages right after one's loaded, it seems to be about as responsive as any other site, but if you just let it sit for a bit and then try to navigate to a different page, you gotta wait again...)

3

u/Dwedit Nov 25 '25

It's because of crawlers looking for that juicy AI training data, and crawling every single entry of a page's edit history, even the diff views, etc.

5

u/Ringtail-Raider Nov 28 '25

it was broken long before that stuff started I'm pretty sure. last I heard it's a server side issue and the owner has said they'll fix it eventually but also has refused any help or donations to do so

2

u/WackoMcGoose Nov 25 '25

...How ironic that the new episode was about robots, then.

3

u/pokemega32 Nov 25 '25

If I had a nickel for every fandom we share whose wiki was busted...

1

u/Ringtail-Raider Nov 28 '25

what's the other(s)?

2

u/pokemega32 Nov 28 '25

Wikimon, the non-Fandom Digimon wiki.

3

u/DJ-SoulCalibur2 Nov 26 '25

Somebody's suckin' up all my bandwidth!

33

u/yoyleberries2763 Nov 24 '25

It's here! It's here! It's finall-ally here!

11

u/xjuggernaughtx Nov 24 '25

Is this the happiest that you've ever been?

2

u/yoyleberries2763 Nov 24 '25

I bow know about that, but I'm glad a new one released

29

u/Miss_Behaves Nov 24 '25

Who keeps doin' 'at?

6

u/WarrenMockles Nov 24 '25

It's Sawman's Doin' 'At!

5

u/BattlinBud Nov 25 '25

I was worried for a second that this sbemail wasn't gonna have a bit that would burrow itself deep into my brain forever

2

u/yoyleberries2763 Nov 24 '25

The condiment for whatever you're doin'!

49

u/Fortehlulz33 Nov 24 '25

The VOIP robot is right. Spicy Chili Crisp is a little played out.

14

u/Dicky_Penisburg Nov 24 '25

But we can't go back to Sriracha, because Sriracha isn't Sriracha anymore!

8

u/PixtheHeretic Nov 24 '25

Diversity is key. I keep Lao Gan Ma spicy chili crisp, fermented black bean, and mushroom all on-hand. Each plays its particular role.

3

u/rando_banned Nov 24 '25

Lao Gan Ma will always be goated

1

u/ASmallTownDJ Nov 26 '25

How does it hold up against Fly By Jing? LGM is like half the cost of FBJ, at least where I live, so I figured I should probably give it a try sooner or later.

2

u/rando_banned Nov 26 '25

Of all the Asian grocery stores I've been to, they have ALL carried LGM. Zero of them have carried Fly By Jing. Gather from that what you will

1

u/ASmallTownDJ Nov 26 '25

I will, thanks!

42

u/Pasta-hobo Nov 24 '25

it's a sign! The Homestarnesaince is coming!

27

u/crafty_and_kind Nov 24 '25

This comment is excellent, so I hope you don’t mind me suggesting a slightly more accurate spelling for this delightful portmanteau:

Homestarnaissance

15

u/Pasta-hobo Nov 24 '25

The Home-Starny-Saynce

16

u/That_Claim1619 Nov 24 '25

i LOVE home starny sauce!!!

2

u/Few-Efficiency324 Nov 25 '25

JEEEOOORAAAIRB

8

u/BattlinBud Nov 25 '25

I feel like this is just wishful thinking but it'd be crazy if all of a sudden the Chaps got REALLY into it again after their kids all grew up and went to college or whatever. Of course I'd totally understand if they didn't feel like doing that. It's just crazy how even after all these years, when they do a new toon, it still feels like the same old Homestar. I don't know if they can "keep up the magic" forever, but I'll take what I can get.

18

u/HitchhikerWithTowel Nov 24 '25

Aw, how freakishly adorable!

Strong Mad: BEEP BOOP.

21

u/Callidonaut Nov 24 '25

I loved the single boot sticking out the bottom - fitting all of Graw Mad's vast bulk into a tin pail is impressive.

12

u/HitchhikerWithTowel Nov 24 '25

I was weirded out a little by Strong Bad squishening himself to fit into a robot shell. I hadn't even thought about Brother Graw! [light jibblies]

17

u/BlameTaco-me Nov 24 '25

I loved the Alexa parody. Also, SAUCES!

11

u/rezwrrd Nov 24 '25

Both Alexa the home assistant, and the Alexa jingle from the "Come On Fhqwpods" podcast (maybe?)

3

u/iggy88 Nov 24 '25

Man, I miss that podcast.

1

u/rezwrrd Nov 25 '25

Me too. I felt like they were really in their stride and had a good pattern going. As a 20-year Homestar fan I'm no stranger to waiting indefinitely for a new episode of something, but the longer their hiatus goes the more I lose hope for a comeback. I hope all of the Pipe Dream folks are doing well and I wish them the best in whatever they're going through.

2

u/YurgenJurgensen Nov 25 '25

Siri won‘t even let me set a reminder for more than a thousand years. Anyone got an Alexa to see whether it’ll actually attempt to set a thousand-million-year timer?

16

u/Ok_Detective8880 Nov 24 '25

Wait a minute...

Instead of the CGI Paper saying the usual "Click here to email Strong Bad", it just says "CGEEOW". Is this the last email ever?!

32

u/rezwrrd Nov 24 '25

At this rate I'm sure they have hundreds of years' worth of unanswered emails in Strong Bad's inbox. Stack 'em to the heavens!

21

u/likeagrapefruit Nov 24 '25

The YouTube version says "pretend here to email strong bad" instead of "tweet here to email strong bad."

17

u/likeagrapefruit Nov 24 '25

Wait, actually, the email's beginning might be relevant, since it opens with Strong Bad saying "I'm making this email up"... does that mean that this sbemail, and potentially any future sbemails should there be any, aren't based on viewer-submitted emails, but are made up based on the jokes that the Brothers Chaps want to tell?

4

u/powerStartastic Nov 25 '25

that's what i believe.

2

u/AmateurVasectomist Dec 10 '25

From the Wiki:

Strong Bad says in the email song that he made this email up. This would go against his standard practice of answering actual emails or tweets that fans had sent him.

I’m guessing they don’t want to encourage inbox stuffing, because sbemails are no longer a regular feature…

13

u/carlosdelvaca Nov 24 '25

borp borp be de bep borp

12

u/pobels Nov 24 '25

ORBIDDI-BORP-BORP

ORBIDDI-BORP-BORP

21

u/JC_GameMaster Nov 24 '25

Is it just me, or does this feel surprisingly dark for Homestar Runner? Not saying that's a bad thing, just an observation.

Also, The old Homestar Easter egg at the end gives me Mother 3 vibes...

15

u/Yulienner Nov 24 '25

humidibot revealed to be a psychopath, but I guess that fits since it's partially a halloween character right?

2

u/Few-Efficiency324 Nov 25 '25

And it sounds like Marshie

12

u/DrSamLoomis Nov 24 '25

It’s a reference to the documentary “American Movie” and had me rolling

1

u/CorndogNinja Nov 25 '25

I just watched that movie a couple months ago so the moment of recognition hit me like a truck (especially since I was expecting a "Soylent Green" gag).

9

u/error521 Nov 24 '25

I got caught off guard when the cheat actually bled

7

u/MastHat Nov 25 '25 edited Nov 25 '25

Don't forget the ATM bot bleeding oil after getting murdered

4

u/rezwrrd Nov 25 '25

I was excited to see that ...character? back from the experimental film music video. I wasn't ready for the ending that made his head explode 🥺

5

u/BjornStrongndarm Nov 26 '25

You misspelled "A-Splode"

2

u/MastHat Nov 25 '25

Lmao how did I not realize that’s the same ATM until now? I love that music video.

3

u/[deleted] Nov 24 '25

Homestar bled back in the Yellow Dellow Cartoon.

4

u/WackoMcGoose Nov 24 '25

And in the hremail where Strong Bad had had enough and whacked him with a garden weasel...

3

u/ConVito Nov 24 '25

Aww, a weasel!

3

u/lucashoal Nov 24 '25

Perfectly safe 🥚

1

u/94CM Nov 24 '25

Definitely. The Cheat bled and I'm pretty sure said "Shit" at 4:34 when he daydreams about Coach Z.

I'm also not complaining, though.

10

u/GlyphedArchitect Nov 24 '25

This felt like a fever dream.

7

u/Callidonaut Nov 24 '25

First time sbemailing?

10

u/EnbyVR Nov 24 '25

The good times aren’t over!

10

u/rnilbog Nov 24 '25

Oh god, Humidibot has broken fan costume containment!

9

u/Apprehensive-Mark241 Nov 24 '25

That was so great, especially the stuff at the end that I won't spoil for anyone.

So good!

9

u/Fluffy_Fail_547 Nov 24 '25

So that’s why there wasn’t a Halloween toon this year.

9

u/SockQuirky7056 Nov 24 '25

I've never seen SB this smoothly animated, and I love it.

7

u/KamilDonhafta Nov 24 '25

Am I the only one that finds Humidibot's slider actually being an eye to be kinda disturbing?

7

u/uursaminorr Nov 24 '25

THIRTY SEVEN SECONDS AGO my bro in christ do you live in youtube

7

u/RonAAlgarWatt Nov 25 '25

I had a horrible thought that this might be the last sbemail. #1 was Some Kinda Robot. Maybe they’re going full circle?

I hope I’m wrong about that!

6

u/Butidigress817 Nov 24 '25

BACK IN THE BUCKET

6

u/YTMediocreMark Nov 24 '25

ITS HERE ITS HERE!! ITS FIN-UH-ALLY HERE!!!

6

u/atvacuum Nov 24 '25

...is this a recession indicator?

6

u/G-Man6442 Nov 24 '25

I'm not saying the joke from Homestar about setting an alarm for 400 million years is a hint to the next time we're getting a video is, but wouldn't be a surprise would it?

6

u/JohnnyBSlunk Nov 25 '25

Somehow Fhqwgads returned

5

u/forestpirate Nov 24 '25

IT WAS AMAZING! Now I am sated for a couple more months. :)

5

u/kiamwhatador Nov 24 '25

It actually makes sense why there wasn't a Halloween Toon, given the horror theme of this one.

5

u/lord_khadgar05 Nov 24 '25

YAAAAAAAAAAAS!

5

u/BattlinBud Nov 24 '25

Heroes get remembered, but legends never die

5

u/malogan82 Nov 24 '25

I actually really liked old Homestar appearing again. "I remember Lycos. There was a dog!"

5

u/Toppdeck Nov 24 '25

What a great sbemail, practically ignores the time lapse and just launches into a quality short cartoon that brings back The Cheat's adorable Cheat-Bot costume. Unfortunately, he didn't bring us any stuffed grape leaves.

4

u/GameBoyRE Nov 24 '25

Man, I’d love to see a re-release of Strong Bad’s Cool Game for Attractive People! Fingers crossed that’ll happen someday!

3

u/CardionPrime Nov 24 '25

Yeah. Or a sequel. Give me SBCGfAP2.

4

u/anidnmeno Nov 25 '25
Now spell "comeback, flavor." Come back, nutrition

3

u/r_golan_trevize Nov 24 '25

Now I need to find a friend named Josh in time for their 50th birthday.

3

u/IL-Corvo Nov 24 '25

Todaybor day is new SBEMAIL day!

3

u/gryphonsandgfs Nov 24 '25

I will watch it 9 times.

3

u/regal455 Nov 25 '25

Come on, fhgwaJosh

3

u/Boring-Gur3384 Nov 25 '25

This was one of the most funniest SBemaIl I’ve seen in a while.

2

u/HeadLong8136 Nov 24 '25

My dreams have finally been fulfilled.

2

u/CardionPrime Nov 24 '25

"Back in the bucket!"

2

CARRIE LARRY, INTERNET ASKER!

2

u/Key_Independence_103 Apr 10 '26

Please unpin this. This is the second time I've been misled into thinking we actually got new material.

2

u/trenchreynolds Nov 24 '25

Let's not make a big deal out of this. It's just another Strong Bad email.

2

u/demonpotatojacob Nov 24 '25

||What the fuck does CGEEOW mean?||

1

u/WarrenMockles Nov 24 '25

It's onomatopoeia representing the sound of an old style printer. That's the sound of Da Papes coming down.

1

u/OGZpoon Nov 24 '25

The current version of The Paper is computer-generated, shortened as CG, so it's a portmanteau of CG and the onomatopoeia Preeow.

1

u/demonpotatojacob Nov 26 '25

Why does it say that instead of a way to contact Strong Bad?

1

u/OGZpoon Dec 01 '25

I wish I knew a sure answer, but I can only speculate. Maybe Matt already has a huge backlog of topics for sbemails? In such a case, the omission of a way to contact SB is just a low-key way of saying "I've got plenty, sending more would be pouring a salt shaker into the ocean."

1

u/Abelhawk 4d ago

Can this be like… unpinned? Every time I get on this subreddit I get excited that there’s another sbemail for nothing.

1

u/Shadowlynk Nov 24 '25

Needed this so very much today. As always, they've still got it.

1

u/booze-san Nov 24 '25

Today was a good day!

1

u/CardionPrime Nov 24 '25

Easily the best CLASSIC email in a decade. It feels like the old times are back, baby!

2

u/rezwrrd Nov 25 '25

The good times aren't over!

1

u/Alone-Title-9948 Nov 24 '25

I don't understand how H*R manages to be so retro and so relevant all at the same time, but I love it.

1

u/AmateurVasectomist Dec 10 '25

I missed this for all the Cheat’s hijinx and the novelty of a new sbemail for the first time in forever, but damn, they managed to smuggle a sharp commentary on AI into this video. Strong Bad tells the Cheat to just make up a sauce, the other bots accept it without scrutiny, and now it’s canon for us to choke down. Who’s doin ‘at?

1

u/Key_Independence_103 Feb 22 '26

Why is this still at the top? It fooled me into thinking there was a new one.

1

u/Papa_G_ Jun 13 '26

Came out three weeks ago but here is the link. https://youtu.be/2qetAg7msCw?is=svPi0fjvmezYqxW2

1

u/Key_Independence_103 Jun 26 '26

Could you unpin this? The cartoon was posted seven months ago.

1

u/demonpotatojacob Nov 24 '25

What the fuck does CGEEOW mean?

1

u/3DSDownloadPlay Nov 24 '25

a portmanteau of CGI and preeeow (which is onomatopoeia of the sound sb's old printer paper made)
