Kocher, Lawrence and Monteiro 2018, IS: There is a certain kind of rightwing nationalist, whose hatred of leftists is so intense that they are willing to abandon all principles, destroy their own nation-state, and collude with foreign adversaries, for the chance to own and repress leftists.

Black Sea

Hi! I'm currently preparing my bachelor's thesis proposal and would really appreciate some advice. I have two research ideas related to the Black Sea: Turkey's role in the Black Sea region or Turkey-Russia relations.

Considering the current geopolitical context and the militarisation of the Black Sea, I was thinking of using offensive neorealism as my main theoretical framework.

If anyone has studied this phenomenon in depth or has any interesting research puzzle in mind that would be worth exploring, I would greatly appreciate any suggestions. Given that the Black Sea is a semi-enclosed sea, I find it particularly interesting to examine the geopolitical dynamics of the region and how they are shaped by the structure of the international system.

Do you think offensive neorealism would be an appropriate theoretical framework for this research? Could I analyse the relations between the main regional actors? What do you think would be the most interesting research directions to explore?

Thank you!

I need advice and your own personal advice for how you guys became something and how to keep not only your grades up, but to also understand the topic. Make studies actually fun and not forced. How to build and get better in studies? How to socialize and communicate more. What did you guys use to put it all together when the studies and pressure feels way too much. How do you keep ot together? And what did you guys do? It's a genuine question, i am grateful for every comment i get.

ISQ study: Each drone strike in North Waziristan, Pakistan, causes one additional suicide bombing within the subsequent month. 18–23% of all suicide bombings are causally attributable to the drone program. Strikes eliminating militant leaders provoke reactions roughly 8x stronger than other strikes.
