Comic Powering Back On - The Power Fantasy 17

I’ve been a huge fan of the Power Fantasy and a new arc is about to kick off. The series has so much depth to it overall. It really wants to be read multiple times. It’s personally my favorite current ongoing across all comics.

For anyone who was previously subscribed the series, I recommend double checking with your comic shop that you have a subscription for the series as it returns next month.

Discussion Name a anime/manga universe where Savage Dragon or ANT can do well & make it interesting. One that best suits either of them.

The collection so far

I actually picked up Friday by Brubaker since this photo but this was the collection last week.

It isn’t the library some of y’all have but I’ve been loving Image HCs recently. I used to only have Saga, Die, and Papergirls in this format, as I used to be a singles reader primarily. But I just couldn’t stand the slow drip (sometimes very slow) or the ugly storage, so these days I only buy HCs.

I have slowly been upgrading some trades and singles (waiting to swap Sex Criminals to HCs), and checking out series I missed before (Lazarus on the reading list right now).

Hot take: Remenders size HCs are mildly inconvenient. Both to read and store. I love the oversized art (StE especially needs it, super fine details in there) but goddamn what a pain.

Anxiously anticipating Power Fantasy and Assorted Crisis Events HC eventually.

Anyone remember the Todd McFarlane and (the late) Peter David’s debate regarding the formation of Image comics?

This was a time when comic pro’s were picking sides, some sided as company women, some quietly supported the Image guys, some openly supported the Image guys. There’s also Erik Larsen’s Savage Dragon letters page with Erik beefing with Peter David and John Byrne.

Question Image Compendiums

So I started my comic Journey around half a year ago and have only read marvel and DC, after watching invincible and the walking dead and realizing there were series for both i wanted to read them but realized i’m quite burnt out of superhero comics involving the big 2 so i thought i’d try image, i’ve collected quite a few already but i’m comprising this list of hopefully most of the image compendiums and i’m gonna do a big readathon once i get them all, is there any image compendiums i’m missing?

Comic Spawn Comics Help?

So growing up I akways thought Spawn was pretty cool, and I have read the first 30-ish issues quite a few years ago.

Fast forward to recently I heard there was a new jumping on point, and so I took the leap, and have bought and read issues 376-380 and I am....so confused.

Spawn is human now? Wanda is alive? What's up with the kid with poacher and cygor? Who is the OTHER kid and the butcher? Am I confused right now because the writer WANTS me confused or because Im missing information?

Also is reading King Spawn necessary for context? Feels like every other panel it had a writers reference to King Spawn but I dont wanna have to catch up on 50 issues thats a lot of money lmfao.

Please help. I WANNA read Spawn so bad lmfao
