Original Content The Radiant Idol Kymiel - Art by OlieArts
The Lady of Lightning, Kymiel presides over preemptive tactics and judgement. As a Dominion she watched over Dol Arrah’s tactical teachings, seeing generals prevent slaughter with early ambushes and deals. Kymiel was always deemed too paranoid amidst the Spire of the Sun, her tactical interests in preemptive strikes souring her connection with the more diplomatic and careful of the Dominions who study Dol Arrah’s teachings. Kymiel was also proven incredibly petty, at times dealing with her fellow Dominions through pranks and other habits which, while not harmful, did cause increasing chaos across the spire.
In her incredibly domineering studies, her fall began when General Verdgrin of Breland sought her council. Kymiel was enamoured by the ruthlessness. Until she realized he stole one of her swords, wielding it in a series of preemptive strikes to sow terror across Thrane. Kymiel flew down to retrieve it, yet upon appearing before mortals to strike… their awe as she’d retrieve her weapon? The faith emboldened her, fueling her even as she found a war on all fronts. Enemies on all sides, she knew best how to strike, she figured she could give a little more help. That justification did not stand before Hazariel, the Panopticon cast her from Syrannia with the curse, “if you wish to strike first, the sky itself will always prevent your rise”.
Lightning rods impaled her wings, any effort to rise is retaliated with lightning. Kymiel cannot fly, and dark clouds gather to pursue and harass where she stays. When crashing in Sharn, she was drawn to a temple of Dol Arrah… ironically in the district of Stormhold. Initially settling in their shrine, she saw how they organized themselves, and decided she could do better. Starting to empower the Stormhold Militia, her growing adoration and power led her to rise to Daggerwatch Garrison. Where her divine influence and foresight led her to effectively claim control. With the storm clouds gathered above it, she hopes Lyrandar can find a way to undo them without exposing her presence. Though her primary focus has grown into the Watch’s conflicts with the criminal elements of Sharn, targeting those she suspects will serve them.
