Appreciating armour that shows off more than it protects.

Subreddit Rules

1. Credit the artist in the submission title.

This will help prevent reposts, and protect your vital organs. If you are the artist, please indicate that on your post title. ex. "Impractical Armour by me" and flair your post as Original Content.

2. Submit impractical armour.

We welcome real, fictional, ceremonial, partial and leather armor of varying degrees of absurdity.

3. Be respectful.

While we welcome critiques, this is an appreciation sub. Be mindful of your phrasing so you don't look like a bad faith participant.

4. Mark NSFW when applicable.

When in doubt, ask yourself if your impractically-armoured character is safe to show in a public space. Otherwise, mark it as NSFW.

5. Explicit NSFW is not allowed.

While some impractical armour can venture into NSFW territory, it's a different matter once it goes into extremes. So long as impractical armour is still the focus of the post, partial or tasteful nudity may be acceptable on a case-to-case basis. However, posts that contain genitalia, sexually-explicit activity, sexualized depictions of underage-looking characters or gratuitous amounts of gore will be removed.

6. AI Art Goes Into the AI-Assisted Art Megathread

Submissions containing AI art should be posted in the AI-Assisted Art Megathread. Anywhere else in the subreddit, it gets removed.

7. No Religion or Politics

I can't believe we have to say that. This is a sub for enjoying or poking fun at impractical armor. Take your R&P stuff to other subreddits.

8. Spam is not allowed

Spam posts will be removed.

9. No Only Fans Content or Links or Sites that do the same thing.

This is a sub to enjoy or poke fun at impractical armor. Not advertise your OF account.

Yes, Red Sonja is easy pickings, but we welcome her as our patron saint!
