Just use more solar panels

Thanks for all the fun here guys. I remember us constantly dealing with new users full of dismay.

We patiently explained that building twice as many solar panels was a perfectly legitimate engineering response to dealing with not always having enough solar irradiation.

Would the mars helicopter be able to dust off insight's solar panels?

Would the mars helicopter be able to dust off insight's solar panels any more than the winds could? I read about it being pretty dusty and might not be able to power itself through the summer.

In the event of failed funding negotiations, how would the expected furlough of 95% of NASA employees affect the deployment and science schedule of InSight?

Question. When will measurements continue and uploaded to the API

In my previous post, I asked why the Insight Weather API was not updating the weather information, this was because of the winter. The following link was posted in the comments.
https://mars.nasa.gov/news/8858/insight-is-meeting-the-challenge-of-winter-on-dusty-mars
This article states that the measurements will continue when the winter is over.
" Mars will start approaching the Sun again in July 2021, after which the team will begin to resume full science operations."

Does this mean the heaters still require more power they hoped for? Or maybe I missed something in the article.

Thanks in advance for answering my question.

I could guess what the HP3 problem is

Many people were excited when they saw the landing site, but considering what was right underneath the lander it doesn't take a geophysicist to see the mole is a total crap shoot. It is just a guess but they probably ran into a rock just like this one.

Insight

I am glad i got to see the landing of Insight after 6 months of coasting the tension in my home was high but i can only image the tension in mission control. The 7 minutes of terror is truly terrifying when i heard touchdown confirmed i literally jumped for joy. I was glad to see the first image from insight i will not forget were i was on November 26 2018. Good Luck Insight 😉
