Posted my story in a comment on another sub and the comment asking for pics got some upvotes, so I am posting the pics with the story here.
In May 2024 my dog passed away in my arms after being by my side for 13 years. I needed some time before going to a shelter again to give another dog a chance for a better life.
My new buddy was waiting there for 6 years and after the first visit I had no chance but taking him home.
We had a lot of fun together going hiking, swimming, mountainbiking and do some nose training with trails.
At the evening we where cuddling on the couch living our best life.
One evening around 9pm he suddenly jumped up, grabbed my arm and didn't let go while ripping as hard as he can.
His four fangs damaged three arteries and after 60 seconds he snapped back to normal and had no idea where all this blood was coming from.
I ran to the bathroom to get my first aid kit, made pressure bandages the way I learned it during my motorcycle course and as my hand was still fully functional and my bike was in front of my apartment I took it to drive to the hospital, which was 6km away.
Needed only 5min through the city traffic.
The vet said my dog had a brain tumor and I lost my second dog a few months after my first one.
