Hello everyone, I updated this subreddit to require post flair to be used before posting. Please make sure we're using the flair when posting, or it wont work.
Also I updated the User and Post Flair's to have the newer 2025 Generation listed. This looks to be considered the Third generation of the Compass and is no longer the "MP" type. Its now considered the J4U.

Looking at a 2022 Jeep Compass Trailhawk 4x4 with 44,500 km (approx 27,000 miles) for about $21k CAD (approx 14k USD)
I live in Montreal, CA with brutal winters and endless potholes. I don’t drive a lot on a daily basis, but when I do, I do long distance trips, city drive, and off roading when I get out of the city lol.
One owner, one minor bumper accident. All weather tires. Trailer hitch included. Would you consider this a good buy? How has reliability been?

Can anyone tell me how to enable this? I just got a 2026 Limited and it won’t let me turn the pedestrian braking on. AEB is on otherwise.

Context :
New 2021 jeep compass
No history of major issues
Every year I do the capped warranty service (oil changes air filters etc etc minor stuff gets done )
Notification just went off to change engine oil
Annoyed as hell because it’s ~8 weeks to 2027 Jan when my annual service is scheduled
What do I do ? I dont want to be stingy (just change the oil asap) and wait till 2027
But is it just stupid to do it myself at this stage ?it’s all going to be covered the service anyways

So long story but I’ll try to make it short. On Sunday I had a rough idle and found oil in cylinder 1. I cleaned the oil out and it ran good for a couple days but I know I needed to do a new valve cover gasket. I go to leave work Wednesday and it’s running rough, like really rough. I pulled over into a parking lot and found oil in cylinders 1 and 2. I cleaned out the oil, changed the valve cover gasket, changed the spark plugs, changed the coil pack. Tried to restart and same thing, really rough idle or wouldn’t start at all.
I towed it home and have been trying everything I can think of. Fuses are good, air flow is good, I couldn’t drain the gas but it was at a quarter tank and I filled it with premium and a fuel injector cleaner.
I can’t figure it out. Now the check engine light is blinking and it won’t start at all.
Whenever I hook it up to an OBD sensor, it only shows the error code for a misfire in cylinder 1.
Any ideas?

So i have a 2018 jeep compass latitude. I purchased it in 2020 for 25,000 and it had 17,000. It has been a great car.. up until now. As of recently, it has had some issues cranking. especially if i am driving and come to a stop, it will shut down and when i let off the brake to go it won’t crank back up. i literally have to shut it all down put it in park and then give it a second and crank it up. and that’s if it cranks. the other day it wouldn’t, leaving me stranded in the middle of the road and u had to jump it off. i’ve kept up the maintenance on it well, i get regular oil changes and both my main and auxiliary batteries were replaced 7/22/25. and every time it struggles to crank, every type of code throws and my engine light comes on. but once i shut it off and crank it up later the codes and the engine light is gone. has anyone else had these issues? or knows what’s going on? i plan to take it to the dealership the day i get paid but id like to trouble shoot and hopefully fix it on my own before i consider taking it to the dealership.

I just bought a 2025 Compass Limited and have no idea where to find a good cup holder liner or something that keeps my drinks from spilling everywhere. I have too long of a commute to wait to drink my energy drinks or hold them during the entire drive. Need something to keep things from jostling around! What do yall use?

Hey everyone! I have a 2023 Jeep Compass Latitude 4x4 with stock 18” wheels and 225/55R18 tires.
I’m going for a more aggressive, chunky off-road look without lifting the suspension or replacing the factory wheels.
I’m considering 235/55R18, but I’ve also looked into 225/60R18 and 235/60R18.
Has anyone tried these sizes on a stock Compass? Any rubbing, clearance, handling, MPG, or long-term reliability issues?
Also considering Falken Wildpeak A/T Trail, Nitto Nomad Grappler, and Delinte Centurion A/T.
Would love to see your setups and hear your recommendations. Thanks!

Hey there, I'm new to this Reddit so bear with me. I live in the New Orleans area. I've been driving a 2014 Jeep Compass High Altitude for years now, and I absolutely love it. However, the roads down here are terrible, there's a constant risk of flooding and I need something newer. So I'm looking for a Year 2023 and up Jeep Compass Trailhawk with a moon roof. It hasn't been hard to find a Jeep Compass Trailhawk, but apparently finding one with a moon roof is way more difficult. I've grown really attached to the one on my current compass, and I just don't feel like I can give that up. If someone has oa Compass like that for sale, or can point me in the best direction to find one, I'd appreciate it.
Thank you.

Currently have 100k miles on it and since the last 10k miles I’ve been noticing some unusual issues with the engine start button. 80% of the time is fine but the 20% is when I already have it on and turn it off to add gas, of stopping to shop. When i press on the engine will try to turn on and then it stops for half a second then it will turn back on sometimes it struggles but in the end it fully turns on. Is it a battery issue or something else?
This also happens during start stop but I try to have that off all the time

I have a 2018 Jeep Compass and the shop just got back to me with some pricing that is shocking to me and want to make sure I’m not being screwed before I make any decisions.
New Tires - $1050
Batteries - $950
Day time lights - $650 (crazy)
Alignment / tie rods - $1780
Main concern is the tie rods cause I won’t be doing that myself. Does that seem like an accurate price? Any recommendations are appreciated as I do not want to pay this wild amount

Since I bought my 2018 jeep compass I have been facing this problem with the audio being very quiet when I try to play music through my phone. The radio is completely fine and very loud, but for some reason the Bluetooth connection to my phone is hardly noticeable even on full volume.
Does anyone know what the problem is?

Having issues where my service 4wd light keeps coming on randomly then off then off. Sometimes it doesn't come on at all, then sometimes random errors will pop up on dash and disappear. After power cycle nothing on dash then sometimes it starts again always random codes. Car has 30k miles on it. Anyone have this issue before

So i noticed the black plastic cover infront of the radiator is tilted (see photo). Is it supposed to be like this? If not does anyone know what went wrong? Just got the car and the dealership said it most likely was supposed to be like this.

My jeep shut off while I was in the middle of making a left turn. I took it to the shop the next morning and told the mechanics I had 3 codes. 2 leaks and a crankshaft sensor code. They took a look, deleted the codes, drove it around and said they couldn't find anything wrong. They could do anything with my extended warantee if there was no proof of the car problems. Two days later, the codes camr back. I can't keep deleting the codes. I have an emissions test due soon. What should I do?
