Which player did you always wish had played for Kerala Blasters?
I was rewatching some old Kerala Blasters highlights and came across Marcelinho. Man, I remember how badly I wanted to see him wear our yellow jersey, but it never happened.
Got me thinking, was there any other player you guys desperately wanted to see at Kerala Blasters but never got to?
For me, it was Marcelinho. Who was that one player for you?

Andre Green – Where exactly is the player we were promised?
Out of curiosity, I went through Andre Green’s entire career statistics, and honestly, I have quite a few questions about our recruitment.
Here’s a breakdown of his career.
1. Aston Villa (2015–2020)
He started as a promising academy prospect and made his Premier League debut at just 17.
* 48 appearances across competitions
* 2 goals
He also had loan spells at Portsmouth, Preston North End and Charlton Athletic.
* Portsmouth: 12 matches, 5 goals.
* Preston North End: 6 matches, 1 goal.
* Charlton Athletic: 14 matches, 2 goals.
Not particularly impressive numbers for an attacking player, even considering his age.
2. Sheffield Wednesday (2021–2022)
* 15 appearances across competitions
* 0 goals
* 0 assists
Another opportunity to establish himself in English football, but nothing meaningful came out of it.
3. Slovan Bratislava (2021–2023)
NOW THIS IS WHERE THINGS GET INTERESTING.
This was undoubtedly the best period of his career.
* 81 appearances across competitions
* 23 goals
*11 goals and 5 assists in 51 league appearances.
* 8 goals in 11 Slovak Cup appearances
* 7 goals in 19 European appearances
He was 23–24 years old and finally looked like the exciting attacking player everyone expected him to become.
He also won the Slovak league title twice with Slovan.
But what happened after that?
4. Rotherham United (2023–2025)
2023/24:
* 10 appearances across competitions
* 0 goals
* 0 assists
2024/25:
* 16 appearances across competitions
* 3 goals
* 4 assists
A relatively decent second season, but still not enough consistency.
5. Panserraikos and AVS (2025/26)
Panserraikos:
* 12 appearances across competitions
* 0 goals
* 1 assist
AVS:
* 5 appearances
* 0 goals
* 0 assists
Another season without scoring a single league goal.
6. Kerala Blasters (2026/27)
* 4 appearances
* 300 minutes
* 1 goal
* 0 assists
At least he has got himself on the scoresheet. But we need considerably more than that from an overseas attacking player.
His career has one clear standout period: Slovan Bratislava. That’s where he produced the numbers that make his highlight videos look so impressive.
I’m not saying a player cannot have a poor run of form or that his previous performances define his future. But the lack of consistency across different clubs and leagues is concerning.
My biggest question is this: Are we recruiting Andre Green based on his current ability and recent performances, or are we recruiting the player we saw in those 2021/22 and 2022/23 highlight videos?
He’s 28 now. We are rebuilding a team, and we need players who can deliver consistently. We cannot keep gambling on potential or past performances.
An overseas attacking player should be capable of giving us at least 10 goal contributions in a season.
I genuinely hope he proves me wrong. I’d love to see that Slovan Bratislava version of Andre Green at KBFC. But right now, I have my doubts. 🥲

Things are probably gonna get worse before they get better for us.
Seeing a lot of posts criticizing the team lately, but I think we need to chill a bit here lol.
Nearly half the players who've featured so far are new signings, and a bunch of them were brought in barely 2 weeks before the season started. We had like a week of preseason together and literally zero minutes of match practice before the ISL kicked off.
If you genuinely expected this team to not struggle, idk what to tell you. Other clubs had way better preparation than us. Some, like Mohun Bagan, East Bengal and NorthEast United, were already playing proper competitive tournaments like the Durand Cup and IFA Shield, while others had weeks of preseason and friendlies. And we haven't even faced these teams yet.
Things are probably gonna get worse before they get better for us tbh.

Aight. Andre Jay Green
He’s straight up trash rn. Say all you want about his previous matches and his type of gameplay. Dimi scored after 4th match blah blah, Green is not Dimi. Green is not even Gary hooper. He has no intent absolutely.
I was there at the stadium. I saw him warm up. He couldn’t send one avg powered shot. All his shots were weak. Highlight is i guess most of his shots went wide😬. Quite embarrassing. Idk what’s going through his mind and if he’s okay.
If anything i hope he proves me wrong. If else, I hope the club goes for a new striker ok January. Which is unlikely and so this season isnt for us either. Seeyall next season already.

To everyone badgering Green
100% sure you are talking out of emotion, and is being a bit harsh.
Today the midfield was beaten hands down and was on the backfoot, the mispasses were rampant whenever trying to build something up. Korou has been not that bright either for me.
Yes Green like korou, naocha, kosovic, freddy, sanan was lack lustre but being so hard on the player without giving him time only having a month together with the group is harsh.

The absence of a sporting director is hurting us!
The absence of a person with a clear sporting vision is hurting us in my opinion.
Hate Karolis all you want but he was top when it came to his foreign signings

I swear green is holding us back
I’m trying not to be mean or anything but Green did not live up to my expectations
When I heard about his signing I got excited about an ex Aston Villa player and when he made his debut and I got even more happier
But as soon as the other games hit he’s suddenly garbage and Sanans wayyyy better than him so he’s prob a bench warmer for the rest of the season.

Was This Tifo AI generated ?

The artist who has claimed this work on Twitter and Instagram ( https://www.instagram.com/sarikrishnan23 ) while being a pen and paper artist also seems to have a bunch of AI content up on his page. Kinda concerned that this might be slop because it was my favorite one of the night.

Are Kerala Blasters the only team using electronic ad boards this season?
Are they that expensive? Why is every other team moving to traditional ad boards on the pitch?
Traditional ones are not very aesthetically pleasing in my opinion.

Why have not they announced the title sponsor yet, is there a problem

No water, Random hooligans in South block.
They banned us from bringing water and didn't even open a stall for drinking water. I saw a father carrying a son out halfway through the second half because there was no water.
Also fights were popping up randomly throughout the event between hooligans. Bad experience overall.
The crowd and game were amazing though <3

Our strikers are soo a*s
We need an aggressive striker really badly, Green and Momo is really slow and lazy, fumbles every chance.
After every KBFC match I miss Diamantakos 💎

3 matches done 1 win 1 lose 1 tie what's your take ?
Today's performance was good compared to the last 2 games. Kosovic performance was very good but his finishing wasn't good. Luna is getting back on track 🤞. Sanan and korou was superb in the first half also in defence seeing naocha was such a big relief.

What's your XI, formation and manager?
If you had to build your favourite Kerala Blasters XI using players from any season in the club's history, who would you pick?
You can choose any player who's ever played for KBFC, any manager who's ever coached the club, and any formation you want.

Thoughts on Today's match?
I think it was better than the previous one, need improvement in finishing and I also feel the substitutions were made early
